Hi Dr. Bretzke: While preparing for a colonoscopy, I needed to provide some details concerning any medical procedures I've undergone in the past and was reminded that you were my first surgeon. You and a Dr. Mackie (I think was his name) performed a total gastric resection on me in 1987. I'm still here (some 33 years later and cancer-free) thanks to you and Dr. Mackie. Just thought I'd send another note of grateful thanks to you and validate your surgical skills to anyone considering entering your practice. I've told people that I'm the luckiest guy in the world for being referred to you by Dr. Greg Gepner and having had such a great and long-term outcome. I owe you my life. - Matt O'Connell
