Dr. Margarita Vendrell, MD

My mother has been a patient for decades. Dr. and staff have always been very supportive and helpful! Dementia has progressed to looking for facilities. Dr. V has been great with all the paperwork that needs to be completed!

HORRIBLE!

She is the most rude and insensitive person I have ever met! She screams and talks very nasty to her patients. She even told my mom she was gonna call the cops on her for not getting an exam done, when she asked (yelling) my mom why she haven’t done the exam my mother answer she didn’t have the money. And her response was “I don’t care what you do, go get it done! Or I will call the cops” the exam is not even something my mother needs she sent her to a neurologist just because my mom said sometimes her leg hurts. Worst doctor ever!! She told her she will sent her to a psychiatrist hospital to have her admitted because she had that power.

I have been going to Doctor Vendrell for many many years. She always listens to you and gives you as much time as you like. She is very caring and compassionate to her patients and is a wonderful doctor. She is very up-to-date and expert on medical and other technology. It is always easy to communicate with her through her online patient portal and also thought e-mail. She is very helpful regarding referrals when needed. I would recommend Dr. Vendrell to anyone looking for a superior primary care doctor.

I’ve been a patient of hers for over 20 years. Then I received a letter she no longer will accept Aetna and her exact words was you have 3 months to find another Dr. I was shocked! She only cares about her practice not her patients.

Poor Dr. and practice. Wouldn't suggest to anyone.

I just called the office to have them fax a referral over to the urologist and the front desk attendant schooled me on the difference between a referral order and a referral. She was extremely rude and condescending. When I tried explaining everything again to her she hung up on me. I tried calling back several times and no one would answer the phone. I believe they might have been screening the call. Poor customer service. This happened on 7/21/2021 at 1:18PM. and I was not able to jot down the person's name because she hung up on me.

So called 'doctor' sent my father to cardiology to get authorized for a hernia repair? This was in December, since then shes managed to screw everything up so badly that when I called the hospital today (2/11/21) they had no clue what was going on. They never received a surgery authorization from her. She never sent it to them. She also never sent the cardiology authorization or results to the surgeons. I had to directly contact the surgeon, to have him figure the f**ckery out. That's the only word possible to describe this situation. My father is in excruciating pain and she thinks the best course of action is to send him to other places and never follow through. The moment I started raising hell this morning, calling all over the hospital, the authorization and everything magically appeared in the surgeons office. Lo and behold,after speaking to a nurse,THEY JUST GOT IT. She waited until I almost came to her personally to do something. I will be reviewing my legal options. STAY AWAY

I have used Dr. Vendrell for 20 years. She spends a great deal of time with you going over your information and listening to you. She is extremely thorough. If you want a quick in-and-out, a doctor who will accept your diagnosis and give you a prescription, this is not the doctor for you. If you are interested in receiving the best health care, she is a good choice. But she expects you to participate in your own health care, to make changes if necessary. She has no magic pills to correct your health problems.

Dr, Vendrell is a knowledgeable and personable physician that thoroughly examines her patients and provides immediate necessary care when necessary. During a recent wellness exam, Dr. Vendrell detected hearing problems due to a clogged ear. She promptly arranged for her staff nurse to utilize state of the art procedures to flush my ear and restore some apparent hearing loss; thus relieving me of an ailment that had been afflicting me for some time. I and my family have have been grateful for the exemplary treatment and care provided by Dr. Vendrell and her staff assistants these past 6 years. For these reasons I recommend her highly as a primary care physician to families seeking medical care.

Have been seeing Dr. Venereal for over ten years and have no complaints. First, she will not step outside the medical rules. If you're under pain management, she will take the necessary steps to help you, but don't expect this doctor to prescribe narcotics because you say your doctor is out of town.

She can be nice but also condescending and scarily unknowledgeable. Kept trying to tell me MRIs have too much radiation and I should have CTs instead. Treated me like a drug addict because my neurologist was out of town and her office said to have my Primary doctor fill my script for one month. Wouldn't believe me. I finally got tired of being treated poorly and walked out.

I love Dr. Vendrell. She is thorough, listens and is not in a rush to move on to the next patient.

There should be a skull and cross bones icon for a rating, instead of a one star. This woman (notice I did not say "doctor" as she does not embody the knowledge, good-sound judgement one expects from a medical professional. She is condescending and rude and if this isn't enough to make you look for another's doctor, consider this: she only refers those doctors within her "personal group of cronies" not the best doctor or most convenient. The front office reflects the same attitude. Run!

I have been to her three times and she is excellent. Knowledgeable a good listener and takes time with a patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone who need a very good family physician.
