I had one session with this person and will never go back again. I was essentially told that the things I was bringing up from my past were in the past and I needed to let them go. That I wasn't helping the situation and I needed to move on to the present. When I attempted to explain more recent events, they were dismissed and left me feeling invalid and worse than when I arrived.
