Dr. Margaret Fuchs is a Cardiology Specialist at Cleveland Clinic. I came from Michigan after testing revealed I was born with a congenital heart defect. Dr. Fuchs spent 2 hours with me during our initial visit, answering all of my questions, taking notes and explaining in detail what my diagnosis was and what the recommended treatment would be. She even drew diagrams of my heart to help me understand. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Fuchs' recommendation that I have open heart surgery to prevent future TIA's or strokes. She explained the surgery in detail, as well as the recovery time. Dr. Fuchs is very intelligent, knowledgeable and most of all personable. She is able to make you feel at ease speaking about open heart surgery. I have met with her twice since my surgery and both times have been very informative and never rushed. I could choose a cardiologist in Michigan for my aftercare, but I would rather drive the 3 hours to Cleveland and keep Dr. Fuchs as my doctor.
