Dr. Marcus Owen, MD

I love Dr. Owen's! He is the only rheumatologist I would trust any of my family with. He was very compassionate, observant, and knowledgeable.

Dr. Owens walked in the room, didn't address any issues, and left the room. He didn't ease any concerns and just said it was joint pain. He acted like he had not reviewed any of my files. Do not recommend this sorry excuse for a doctor.

Listens, easy to get a phone message to.

Easy to talk with,listen's to your concerns. Very understanding, do not push pills.

Dr Owen is very knowledgeable. He is able to converse with his patient in a way that you can understand. He doesn’t seem to rush you and has time for your concerns/questions. I am glad he is my doctor.

doesn't seem to understand my pain and problem, does a quick physical testing and says" See you in a year" I am in constant pain and vitamin B and D do nothing to alleviate my pain. Other Drs. not knowing I see him have recommended seeing a rheumatologist

I started seeing Dr. Owen this past year (2020) due to pain in my spine and shoulders. If there is new pain somewhere he wants me to notify him.

Dr. Owen is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, relatable, trustworthy and meets my highest health care standards. I’m grateful to be under his care.

My time with Dr. Owen is always well spent. HOWEVER an not against him the video visits the Clinic have incorporated caused my appointment time to be ridiculously over extended! A 9:45 appointment which I arrived for 15 minutes early got me into his office at 9:55. That wasn’t bad HOWEVER he didn’t enter till 10:25. I was close to just walking out. He did explain an apologize an HOPEFULLY my next appointment will be more prompt.

I have been under the care of Dr. Owen since 2008 for fibromyalgia. I started seeing him in Tupelo, MS & followed him even after he moved to Nashville & Murfreesboro after that. He is that good. He takes time to ask & answer pertinent questions and give me real solutions. If you are looking for someone who will pity you, acquiesce to your demands, & patronize you, go elsewhere. You still play a role in your own healthcare and he will genuinely advise and help you with that.

I've been seeing Dr Owen for a few years now. He has always been very attentive to my situation. I was able to get on different biologics with his help~ we tried many until we found one that would control my RA. I have recommended him to my friends as I have always gotten in to see him in a timely manner. Would and Have recommended him to everyone,including my PCP. She says he's very thorough and appreciates it very much.

I was referred to Dr. Owen by my PCP for possible Lupus. I had bloodwork done beforehand which turned out to be negative for that diagnosis(thankfully). While he was polite he didn't address any of my symptoms and family history of auto-immune disease. I honestly do not think he even looked at my records that were sent prior to the appointment. I left his office shocked and disappointed without an answer as to what is wrong with me after waiting two months to see him. Total waste of my time!

I started seeing Dr. Owen for my RA about a year ago. He has not been engaged or compassionate about my care. No communication. My disease has progressed so rapidly the last 3 months that I am now crippled in my hands and have to use a wheel chair.

I started going to Dr Owen two years ago. My pain level is much better now. He is very attentive and knowledgeable and listens to me. A good doctor and nice man. I live in Nashville and well worth the drive to Murfreesboro. I highly recommend.
