Clueless
Dr Mayer is a pleasant man. Clueless. But pleasant. He literally sat in front of me TWICE and said, 'I don't know.' So shame on me to go back for a 2nd appointment. He cost me A LOT of money on unnecessary tests. Thank goodness I didn't follow his plan for even more tests and other doctors. If you need actual help, he's not your guy. I went to another ENT who confirmed my initial thought and diagnosis. If I had gone with my gut and stuck to what I thought which was confirmed by another Dr. I would have saved literally months of suffering

Careful and direct
Dr. Mayer Is soft spoken and professional. He does not rush to judgement in a diagnosis. He is direct and some people may need their hand held more, but for me i like no nonsense. I found him to be kind and have seen him 3 times. He's careful and may not offer the answer your seeking right away. To me, that's a good Doctor ruling out everything before he makes a judgement.

Dismissive and Condescending
Telehealth
You are better off going to an Urgent Care. I have a sinus infection and after telling Dr. Mayer of the odd coloring when I blow my nose, he dismissed it saying that he couldn’t see anything with his 15 second inspection. He then proceeded to tell me that I simply have allergies and sent me on my way without antibiotics. He does not care, is not thorough, and simply wants to get through as many patients as he can in the day.

horrible, ignorned my concerns and symptoms
This guy is horrible I have seen him 3 times 3 different appointments and my ear still hurts he disregarded my concerns and did not listen to me on multiple occasions when I told him what was hurting me. He gave me drops for 10 days for an ear infection the first time I saw him. I went back to him on the 6th day and told him my ear is still hurting and he said I need to take the drops for 10 days. I went back to him on the 15th day, took the drops for 10 days and I told him my ear is still hurting me and there was yellow liquid in my ear on 3 nights in the morning when I woke up. His exact words after looking in my ear were 'well there is no liquid now' I told him my ear was hurting really bad 2 days ago I could not listen to music or watch the tv at half volume it was hurting my ears. He completely disregarded what i told him and he said 'your ear looks fine now'. That was yesterday on friday today is saturday and there was yellow liquid again in my ear when I woke up and my ear

Horrible, that's my experience. NO bedside manner. Created more of a problem than helped. Not at all interested in what I was saying. Would not send my visit summary to my referring doctor. Only adamant that I return, so he can charge another fee. Outrageous. Should retire.

Very Professional
Doctor Mayer is a no nonsense type. He is highly professional. Maybe not warm and fuzzy but I would prefer a doctor who knows what he is doing and does it quickly. I went for an ear issue and he resolved it. What is a better recommendation? The office staff was courteous and efficient as well. I would certainly go back there.

Treats my whole family
Not sure why all the negative comments. Dr. Mayer treats my whole family. Never had a bad experience with him. And he is always very attentive. Maybe people think his demeanor, which is calm and professional is something else. We all recommend Dr. Mayer!

I had a deposit on my eardrum that bothered me for some time. I called, spoke with Brian. I explained I wanted pay cash (to avoid filling long insurance forms) for a simple in and out procedure. He said the office visit would cost $180 plus the Doctors fees. I answered that I wasn't interested in paying nearly $300 for a procedure that would take seconds to perform. I purchased a otoscope with an attached ear pick/scoop for $10. I carefully and slowly resolved my issue in less than 60 seconds.

I was greeted by a somewhat cold person at the desk (didn't smile or say hello, I did though). They got me in very quickly. The woman who led me to my room (medical assistant?) was very nice and laughed when I made a joke, wish everyone was that warm at this office. The doc shook my hand, made very little eye contact, spent about FIVE minutes with me, and never smiled. He stuck a painful suction rod in my ear without warning me and hurt me so I flinched - I said, Ow, that hurts! And he said, yeah.
