Best Ever
I have had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Marco Ellis at Northwestern Medicine Plastic Surgery over the past few years. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for his exceptional talent and dedication to getting me the best results. Dr. Ellis always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answered ALL of my questions with patience and clarity. Although I was slightly embarrassed to come back for another procedure, I felt incredibly supported and never judged in his care. His thorough knowledge of my situation, and alternative treatment options, made me feel at ease with next steps. He always ensures that I fully understood my available options. My most recent procedure went so incredibly well! I am so pleased with the results. I had no complications or setbacks. My results are better than I ever imagined.I triple highly recommend Dr. Ellis to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated surgeon who really listens. Best EVER!

Machine Like Stitching Skills
He can come off as a bit timid, but he's one of those silent geniuses. As a WOC, I was always told that I would scar worse and nothing could be done. However, I've had procedures done with him, and the scars are nearly invisible. He's a fine surgeon, and I am happy with my results from him.

Really cares
Dr Ellis was so kind and supportive. I had a facial injury and was so worried about healing and scarring and he recognized that right away and talked me through how he expects it to heal and steps to take to minimize scarring. Felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders!

I couldn’t image a better result!
Dr. Ellis did my Turbinate Reduction and Ethnic Rhinoplasty and I ADORE the results. He did a perfect job and it was evident even a month after surgery when my nose was still swollen! It fits my face perfectly and I still look like myself and my ethnicity. His team is also fantastic. I couldn’t recommend him more!

Not for breast cancer
He doesn’t do fat grafting in phases for breast cancer reconstruction. He will do one. He will let your body re absorb it and let you believe that it just happens to some people. He will just have you keep coming for surgery every 2-3 years. I’m not sure why they allow straight up criminal doctors at Northwestern.

Masterful
Not only is Dr Ellis’ demeanor and bedside manners comforting, his surgical abilities are masterful. He transformed my exceedingly large breasts into beautiful breasts that were proportionate to my body. He is direct, yet explains the process in laymen’s terms with great care.

Under the care of Dr Ellis, I suffered a bottom out of a breast implant, and then subsequently in the revision to fix that I also suffered implant exposure. The stress of all this was only maximized by NMH and their billing department who despite getting pre authorizations covering all surgical procedures in their entirety, decided to change how they coded them after the actual operations, and then attempted to saddle me with bills ranging from 7 thousand dollars, to over 20 thousand dollars, which weeks and months to resolve and get them to bill correctly. While he and his staff are friendly and professional, I won’t be returning to him for further revisions.

I know I have to be careful what I say here, as dr Ellis is a powerful man and I know if anything leans into what is perceived as hyperbole or defamation of charachter it will not end well for me. So all I will say is the decision to go to dr Ellis was in my personal opinion the worst decision I have ever ever made in my life. I am paying for this decision every single day, and have gone through a great deal of $$, time, and personal emotional pain due to this decision.

I can't speak to this surgeon's skill, however I can speak to his ethical behavior and disregard for patients. I spent a month trying to get an appt to see him,.. days before my first scheduled appt they called me to cancel saying he would be in surgery...i already had taken a day of my vacation time to go downtown for this appt. Thus, I wasted a vacation day. Took another 1/2 day off work, and Rescheduled for another day Waited 45m for him and they told me he left for an "emergency" - horrible

Dr. Ellis performed several procedures for me on June 19th. He listened carefully to my concerns and executed to the letter. I appreciated his thorough explanation and responsiveness to follow up questions I had. His empathy for his patients is reflected in his approach to patient care. I highly recommend Dr. Ellis!

I wish I could give Dr. Ellis and his office a million stars and hugs for helping me with my condition. I have Neurofibromatosis. Not a lot of people know about this condition - including doctors. Dr. Ellis and his office has helped me out so much. I am so glad that I found someone to remove these growths but also be so compassionate about my condition. He is honest about what he can and cannot do. And he has helped me immensely. On top of that - his office staff is unbelievably awesome!
