Thoughtful and Professional
I've been a patient of Dr Dover's for about 4 years, and am continually pleased with the care and service of her office staff, and of course my medical care! I'm never rushed and they are always 100% professional. When I transferred to her from my previous neurologist (my insurance changed), they made it very easy and took care of everything.I've recommended this office to several others for their wonderful patient care and thorough attention to detail.Great location, too. Easily accessible from Rt 46 and Rt 80.

Amazing and caring
Dr. Dover has been my neurologist for years and I have never had a problem with her. I don't understand the character assassination that is contained in these pages. I have dealt with other neurologists and would never see anyone other than Dr. Dover.

Great doc
I saw Dr Dover for essential tremors. She did a careful exam, listened carefully to my description of symptoms, and prescribed a drug that relieved my symptoms after a single dose. Best medical experience of my life.

I am being neglected as a patient here and I couldn't recommend starting with another neurologist more. I have called numerous times within the past two or so months about something Dr. Dover was previously made aware of. I need to be prescribed 90 days' worth of a lessened dose of my medication before leaving the country. Initially, the office would never call me back to follow up with more information. Lately, I keep getting the run around because Dr. Dover tells her office staff that I have already been prescribed what I need (false) and that if I haven't been, I should just split the pills I already have (which are not made for splitting, and are not 90 days' worth.) Recently, I requested that my general doctor reach out on my behalf. There are only three weeks left until I leave the country for 15 months. I am likely going to have to stop taking my prescription cold with the risk of suffering side effects because I do not have time to schedule a consultation with another neurologist. A patient medicated is not a patient cured... Ask your general doctor for a list of neurologist references in our area and start somewhere professional.

Dismissive and impersonal
As others have mentioned, she is dismissive and cold. My neuro of over 20 years, who was very competent and caring, retired and she was my fallback. I will be looking elsewhere for my next neuro appt.

Wow! Are we reviewing the same doctor?
Over the course of the past 30-plus years, I have met with many neurologists in many states regarding my long-term relapsing-remitting MS diagnosis. If you are reading here then you know that like Dr. House on TV Neurologists are the smartest of the smart doctor set - and know it. This can lead to Dr/patient condescension, miscommunication etc. Not with Dr. Marcia who I can honestly say was my best and most informative experience in 33 years of seeing Neurologists. She is my top Doc.

Worst Doctor I've Ever Seen
Would never recommend to my worst enemy. She completely dismissed me and my symptoms when I ended up having a very serious condition, diagnosed no thanks to her. I asked for my own blood work and antibody tests and ended up being right. She is completely inept and needs to learn how to listen to her patients and their concerns.

2.5 years later still no diagnosis for my husband. Saw him in the hospital and said he was "a pleasant confused person." Sent him for a brain MRI and never called about the results. What doctor does that?? Office is absolutely gross. Stay far away.

Inept
Over 5 weeks ago I made an appointment for my 82 year old mother. The day before the appointment I called the office to confirm the time. They told me "12:30 pm for tomorrow, Tuesday" and I asked them to please resend the appointment forms that we can fill out online, which they did (however, I was unable to fill them out online as I did not have all the information at that time). The following day I drove 1 hour 10 minutes to get to their office only to be told, "We don't have your mother scheduled. We can not even schedule her today because the Doctor left for the day" (a Dr. leaves for the day by noon on Tuesday?). I could not even believe their ineptness. I told them we drove a long way and I would never reschedule with them, if the Doctor wanted to leave early, why couldn't they give a courtesy call and reschedule, I mentioned to them I had just called yesterday and confirmed the appointment. I would never recommend this Doctor or their office.

1 star isn't even warranted. Horrible, frustrating and unprofessional. She saw my father in the hospital after I had pushed and pushed for Neurology to be brought in on his case. Her assessment was that his MRI was normal (fyi, the CT Scan showed significant white matter changes so how could an MRI be "normal"). After asking him a few questions she literally just walked out. I walked out with her asking questions about the severe confusion my father was experiencing and her response was "we may never know why he is confused" and again she walked away. NOT a doctor to go to or send your loved ones to!

My husband was in town for work and rushed to the hospital with chest pains, shaking, and dizzyness. Dover was adamant he was going through alcohol withdrawal. When we asked another’s doctors opinion, she said it was seizures. Once a test was ran, it was determined he is epileptic. For days she treated him like an addict until the results showed he was telling her the truth the entire time! Then she treated him just fine. There was no apology and I hope she learned not to judge unjustly in futur

2 GP's wanted me to see a neurologist because I've been having symptoms of MS. The first thing she says too me is "Why do you think you have MS, I don't think you do." I found it incredibly rude considering I didn't even get to say anything yet, and that I never even said I thought I have it, it was more a possibility and something to rule out. She rushed me and barely let me get a word in. Overall I left feeling stupid, unheard and in tears. Absolutely terrible neuro.

She dismissed the concerns of 3 different gps and 2 specialists about MS because as of now I don't have brain lessions. She dismissed very serious memory loss concerns simply saying I was normal (i feel stupid and slow mentally compared to what I used to be). She said I needed a CT Scan and I have no idea why. I was feeling humiliated and too afraid to ask. I waited over an hour for 15 minutes of condescending. She never looked in my eyes and she rushed me off. She stole hope from a sick person.

Complete misdiagnosis from this dr. Caused 2 weeks of needless suffering and prescribed needless medication. All info for diagnosis was in the chart given to THREE OTHER (more competent) neurologists who all STRONGLY disagreed with her and got me the care I needed!!! RUN away from this neuro if you can.

Completely unprofessional. The ineptitude of this Dr. is downright scary. She does not call to give test results. She ignores your input. She never ready my charts when I was transferred to her because my other Neurologist retired. I stayed on for six moths hoping it would get better then moved on. Best move for my health I ever made.
