A year ago, I did the UAE procedure for advanced adenomyosis. Dr Schiffman and Jaclyn carefully gave me detailed information to prepare me for the level of pain and discomfort. I had an immense amount of tissue shedding in the months to follow. 6 months later, the MRI showed a significant reduction in the disease. I am still on medical management with my gynaecologist but this procedure changed my quality of life in ways I only could dream of previously.

Dr. Schiffman is truly a blessing for women suffering from fibroids. His expertise is evident in every aspect of his care—he is meticulous, thorough, and takes the time to explain each step of the procedure, ensuring that his patients feel informed and reassured throughout the process. The level of compassion he shows is unparalleled, making what could be a daunting experience much more manageable. I won’t lie—after the procedure, the pain was about a 10. But Dr. Schiffman didn’t sugarcoat it; he was upfront, explaining that the first two days would be very painful. He prepared me for what to expect, and though it was tough, I must say it was worth it in the end. His honesty and transparency made a world of difference, allowing me to face the recovery process with realistic expectations. I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care I received from Dr. Schiffman and the entire team at Weill Cornell. From start to finish, everyone involved displayed the utmost professionalism and kindness, creating a supportive environment that greatly eased my concerns. Their collective dedication and attention to detail made all the difference in my treatment journey. Thank you!

The best Interventionist Radiologist
Telehealth
I highly recommend Dr. Schiffman; he is highly skilled, knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his craft. Dr. Schiffman has excellent bedside manner and ensures that you understand the treatment plan and procedure by taking the time out to explain everything and goes over every image with you which I loved. I sought out Dr. Schiffman for a UFE procedure after living with fibroids for 15yrs. I've experience everything from pain, severe bleeding, distorted uterus, displaced ovary, bloating, protruding pregnant belly, infertility etc. Dr. Schiffman returned my quality of life. I am able to wear clothing I had not worn in years. My bleeding stopped immediately after the procedure. My belly has decreased in size, and it's only been 11 days post UFE. I cannot thank Dr. Schiffman enough. His Nurse Jacklyn is amazing as well she is attentive and responsive to all my questions. If you are in need of an Interventionist Radiologist look no further Dr. Schiffman is the MAN!!!

I saw 3 radiologists in consultation, and my gynecologist told me that he was "the" guy for fibroid embolization in NYC. I can see why, he knew more than the others, and I felt a lot more comfortable to be in his care. He even impressed my mother - no easy feat.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Schiffman in November of 2014 and having UFE surgery in May of 2015. He's very professional, caring and attentive. He's also a good listener when it comes to clients concerns about the procedure and side effects. He's very thorough. I have recommended friends who've had positive results from the surgery. If you have received an opinion that suggests hysterectomy, see him 1st. I am 4 yrs post op and asymptomatic. Thank you Dr. Schiffman for giving me my life back

Dr Schiffman is an amazing doctor! He just did my UFE and I already feel so much better. He not only explained everything thoroughly but also checked up on me several times after the procedure. When i called with an issue about a week after my procedure, he called me back within 10 minutes. It is rare to find a doctor who does such a great job and also has such a great "bedside" manner. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who has issues with fibroids.

This is a five star physician. I had two GYN's tell me there was nothing wrong with me, and treated me without a diagnosis or running enough tests. A GYN surgeon sent me to Dr. Schiffman, who diagnosed my adenomyosis, and recommended a UAE. All the other recommendations about his demeanor, skill, compassion, accessibility are 100% on the money. The procedure went perfectly, I had absolutely no pain at all during and after the procedure, went to work the next day, and my adenomyosis is cured.

Amazingly professional, calm and reliable doctor. I saw him once for an FUS /UFE consult, and he ordered the MRI, then called me and explained the results and the procedural options. Very compassionate and professional- he actually calls you back and answers emails...what a breath of fresh air... Awaiting to have my UFE, and I'm not as scared as I would be with another doctor, even though this is my first surgical procedure in my life!

I'm so glad that I was recommended Dr. Schiffman by my friend. I kept being told to just wait for menopause - and like an idiot I listened. Met my friend for lunch and she looked amazing - said she wasn't anemic anymore and was sleeping through the night instead of up 3x to go to the bathroom. I asked what she did, and she sent me to Dr. Schiffman. Turns out, he also did an embolization on my coworker's prostate. He says it's the procedure and not him, but I doubt it.

First review I've written. lMet with him this morning for the first time. He is amazing! I already told a friend to reach out for an appointment. I'm so glad I came across his information. First off, he came out to get me instead of a nurse (NEVER had a doctor do this). He explained everything at length and answered every question I had without feeling rushed. He was very professional, knowledgeable and interested in making the me part of the process. He was talking with me not at me!!!

Dr. Schiffman treated me for a severe case of Adenomyosis in 2015. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Schiffman for this procedure and for his recommendations. He is an excellent doctor who took the time to talk to me at length before and after the procedure. When I went for my follow up appointment, he went over everything in detail with me showing every MRI position. He is a thorough and knowledgeable doctor. Thank you Dr. Schiffman!

I saw a few doctors in consults, and I just felt the most comfortable with Dr. Schiffman, His office staff all spoke so highly of him, and I was really early for my appointment (city traffic scares me), and I got to talk to another patient of his who was waiting for her husband. I'm glad I made the trip, I feel so much better now!! He explained everything so well, 8 months later, and no more embarrassing accidents, and I sleep all night long without getting up. I wish I did this 8 years ago!
