Dr. Marc Mandel, MD

First time I am writing unpleasant comment. The office manager was bullying me for 2days because she wanted send me for test only on location she chose and I will spending more money out of pocket. I explained that I am retired and my insurance doesn’t participate on location she chosen. I make the decision to change the office.

Dr Mandel took my gallbladder out. Both before, during and after the surgery, I found him highly professional and involved.

Dr Mandel and his staff Gina and Grace were outstanding. My 81 year old mother just had surgery for breast cancer and fortunately, the cancer was found early and the surgery was very successful. Thank God for the excellent expertise of Dr Mandel, we are very grateful. Nurse Gina and Grace are very caring. I spoke to Gina several times and her nurturing, supportive care and advice helped us to have confidence throughout the process. Gina was very reassuring that mom's needs would be attended to and that she would receive world class professional care at the Overlook Surgical Unit. Overall, Mom's experience was a very positive experience.

I had an appointment with him to review my ultrasound. He was very rude, and got upset because he said I interrupted him and didn’t let him talk. I didn’t feel comfortable to ask questions after such a rude and unprofessional behavior.

I had a surgery with Dr. Mandel in April 2018. I consider him an excellent surgeon. The recovery I had was excellent. And his staff are very nice.

Was looking for a gen surgeon for adhesions from old operation and to be removed.During my visit he took a phone call, came back with quite different demeanor, almost angry. His diagnosis for me was that I was “traumatized at a Very young age and although there admittedly was something physically wrong, “ his advice was to”see a psychiatrist”.!!SO a week later I DID, don’t deny the mind- body connection , Shrink said”he had No right to say that to you, not qualified & no medical help for me”.

I had surgery with Dr. Mandel and it did not go well. I would strongly advise not seeing him. I also noted he was rude to his staff which bothered me.

Dr Mandel has been my doctor for 13 years now, I trust only him with my breast exams & mammograms, I am 13 years in remission.

I just had my gallbladder removed from Dr. Mandel yesterday, May 11th, 2017. Dr. Mandel and his entire surgical team are exceptional. It was my first surgery and they explained everything in detail and in a language I could understand. My incisions on my abdomen are beautifully done and I'm very impressed with Dr. Mandel and will go back to him again if I ever need surgery. I highly recommend him to others.

I had my very first surgery with Dr Mandel. I was so nervous. Dr Mandel and his nurse Gina were so patient and comforting. I know I overwhelmed Gina with my many phone calls and questions but she answered each question with much patience and kindness. I never felt like a bother. What a great team Dr Mandel and Gina make!

Dr. Mandel is a great doctor. I had breast surgery and not only did he do a great job, he made you feel like he really cares about you. Recommend him to any one needing surgery. I was just disappointed he could not do my double mastectomy. Because. Would not recommend that one. Dr. Mandel keep up your good work and caring for your patience.

He's a great surgeon--and very compassionate and patient with nervous types like me! Gina in his office is also terrific and patient. Both are very comforting and will make you feel at ease. They always respond quickly to phone calls.

My mom was diagnosed with cancer so I called the office to schedule a consultation. Dr. Mandel came to his office the next day at 7:00am (before surgery) to meet us and discuss her medical needs. Dr. Mandel and his staff were knowledgable and shared our sense of urgency, in addition to being kind and comforting. Overall, an excellent doctor and support staff!
