My husband and I both see Dr. Thakur at least once a month each. She listens to us and genuinely cares about her patients. We both have serious medical conditions and she exceeds all our expectations. Referrals are quick. The office staff knows us and are equally amazing. I have referred many friends to her and they've all been very happy.

Dr. Thakur is the BEST Doctor that I know of.
Dr. Thakur is wonderful in every way. She takes the time to listen to you. She is very professional and tries to do what she feels is best for you. If there is a problem that is over her head she will send you to a specialist in the field that you need. If a specialist gives me a prescription, I always talk to her about it first because she knows all my medicine and looks to see how the new medicine might interact with the medicine you are on now. I like to have all of my medicine coming from the same doctor to insure that she knows what I am taking. She will see you in one visit for everything, not just one thing as many doctors are these days. Dr. Thakur is like a funnel for all of your issues and medicines which is the way that it should be. The only negative is be prepared to wait. Take a book or iPad and just enjoy your waiting time. The only reason that you are waiting is because she is taking her time with another patient as she will do with you also.

Amazing at first, but quickly goes downhill!
She is an amazing physician, she is extremely knowledgeable and seems to genuinely be caring for your first few visits. You always wait at least 2 hours to get in a room and then normally another 1 to 2 hours to be seen, but I was willing to overlook this due to her fantastic bedside manner from the first few appointments. Very quickly you start realizing that she just likes to say things that sound great, she will make you feel like an angel has come into your life and you are the only patient that really matters only to realize later on that there is zero follow thru…Your issue only exists while you are directly in front of her. She would be a great ER physician, but family medicine is about long term health and there is NO possible way to achieve that with her when your issues were forgotten the moment you walked out the door. No follow up on labs or referrals, no med refills get called in and it takes 1-2 months to schedule a follow up visit when she said 2 weeks.

Great Doctor
Takes all the time the patient needs. Has been my doctor for years and has helped me get through a lot of terrible illnesses and emotional times. She is very personable and delivers her advice and diagnosis with care and empathy. Waits can be longer, but knowing that she is treating her other patients the same, make that an acceptable wait time for me.

Thakur At my first visit with Dr. Thakur, she ordered bloodwork and said she would call me the Next week to discuss the results. After a week and a half I still hadn’t heard from anyone, so I called the office and left a message. A nurse called me back, but could only tell me about the plan that Dr. Thakur had decided on without bothering to consult me. The nurse said she would talk to Dr. Thakur about other options, but over a month later I still haven’t heard from anyone at the practice. Like others mentioned, the wait was very long, both to see the doctor AND to have blood drawn.

Oh my, Dr Thakur is the best doctor I have ever had. I trust her. She gives each patient her time and attention… yeah, you wait for a while, however, having her as my doctor- every bit of time spent waiting is well worth it. She is not the kind of doctor that makes you feel like you have to hurry up- get in, get out within 10 minutes. Dr Thacker is golden, I would not trade her for anyone else. Her APN’s are very good as well. There is a large group of my friends who see her as well- we have no complaints. Her practice is open on Saturday from 8am to 12noon- I have never had a doctor whom is open on Saturdays.

Had to give one star to post. She's a great doctor but never again. Currently 2 hours and 20 minutes past scheduled appt time. Finally in a room. Would she wait on me if I said I'd would be back jn a couple of hours? Never had a wait like this without some explanation.

Wonderful Doctor – Apr 27, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Thakur?
Dr. Thakur and her staff were so wonderful! They were kind and informative, and I will definitely seeing them from now on. Dr. Thakur in particular is unlike any other doctor I have ever had. She was so understanding and really took the time to understand me and my needs. Yes, I did have to wait a bit to see her, but it was worth it. The reason it takes so long is because she is giving all of her patients the same level of care and attention that she will give to you. I suppose if you're only interested in an impersonal and quick visit she wouldn't be the doctor for you, but having been with those kinds of doctors before I can honestly say that I much prefer Dr. Thakurs method. I don't usually rave this much about anything, but I highly recommend her.

I love Dr. Thakur and her staff. I have been seeing her for several years now and I have never had one problem with her staff. She is always patient and gives time to thoroughly listen and examine her patients. Yes it is a challenge to wait a hour or two in the 21 century where everything is fast and convenient , but you cannot have it both ways. You can have a doctor where they rush you out after 15 or 30 minutes after you have waited an hour or you can patiently wait for a doctor like dr Thakur who will take quality time to listen to you. I choose the latter.

Excellent doctor and practice. If you are interested in an “in and out” experience this is not the practice for you. If you want a doctor that will take the time to get to know you and treat the whole person then this is a perfect practice for you. Yes, sometimes you will not see her exactly at your appointed time but that is because she takes an interest in every patient and is not just interested in getting you out the door with a prescription in your hand.

I cannot believe the 21st. C, Dr.’s office is so behind the time. I had 11 am appointments and waited exactly until 1 pm, and I had to leave the place. No explanations or apologies from the office. I feel that patient is the one who is supposed to be really ‘patient’ and wait without complaints.

I just LOVED her - I am a new patient. She took the time to really find out about my lifetime medical history and was extremely caring and professional. As they say "you pay for what you get" with her you "wait for what you get" and I am perfectly fine with that.

It’s sad that I find myself writing this review. First time doing it for anything. Dr Thakur is very sweet and caring but has no influence on her staff. If your sick go somewhere else that the Dr and staff are professional and capable. You can’t help a patient by just being sweet and ordering every test imaginable. Your so busy that I’ve waited over a week for refill medication. Medication that I can’t miss dosage. There’s always an excuse as to why things went wrong. After four or five times you realize, that’s all it is excuses. Your playing with peoples lives here! If you care about your patients do something about your load and hire people that care. A patient should not have to wait and call over and over for test results. A patient should not have to wait and wait for refills. A patient with appointment should not have to wait 2 1/2 hours to be seen. Your patients deserve a lot better treatment.
