Dr. Mamta Mehta, MD

Recently I had my seventh colonoscopy but first with Dr. Mamta A Mehta, MD, MP at Eisenhower Medical Center. She is friendly, focused, experience. It was one of the best exams I have had. The whole team at the Dolores Hope Outpatient Clinic were spot on. I highly recommend Dr Mehta to anyone needing a colonoscopy. I was awake for the procedure, and Dr. Mehta walked me through her actions, answering questions as she explored. She and her team made me very comfortable through the process.

I met with Dr Metha for the first time today. She made me feel totally at ease and had several solutions to my concerns. Very knowledgeable and caring. Her two assistants were equally effective and personable!

As a new patient this Dr never bothered to look at my records before or during my visit. She just told me that there were none or she could find them. She did not believe me when I told her the diagnosis/results from my last endoscopy. She was argumentative and a horrible listener and completely discounted everything I told her. When I asked her to clarify why I needed a duplicate procedure she tisked and told me I wasn’t paying attention to her. Plus my duplicate procedure to find out what’s going on was 4 mo out. Not great when you’re feeling awful.

She doesn't seem to care. She seemed disinterested, gave no eye contact, and was impatient about my questions. She asked what I wanted but did not make her own recommendations. She was not invested at all in developing a collaborative relationship. Her medical assistant and nurse were also cold and did not give eye contact. Something is seriously wrong in this provider's back office. Why don't the medical staff care? By the way, the front desk staff and scheduling were pleasant and helpful.

Dr Mehta was extremely helpful after my gall bladder surgery, and we were worried about an ulcer. She performed an endoscopy on me, and later on we did a 10 year follow-up colonoscopy, where she removed 2 small polyps; and, found a large lipoma and removed it as well. I have found here to be one of the best I have worked with in the medical field here in Palm Springs, CA. She is understanding, compassionate, communicates extremely well, and I always feel that she is very caring.

This young doctor's bedside manner was horrible. She barked questions at me while reading her computer screen, avoiding any eye contact, was completely uninterested in talking with me about my history and experience with my inflammatory bowel and my personal concerns about the disease, and she has extremely poor communication with her assistant, Monica. I fell ill with the flu before my colonoscopy, called the doctor on a Saturday, & she did not have the courtesy to return my call. AVOID MEHTA.

Dr. Mehta is an excellent physician. She is highly knowledgeable and takes time to explain things and answer your questions. There is no feeling of being rushed and she is caring. She even took her time to personally call me after my visit to further answer my questions instead of leaving it up to her staff which is rare. My other doctors are wonderful too but Dr. Mehta goes the extra mile. I'm very impressed and Highly recommend her.

I have had several gi problems and I cant say enough about Dr. Mehta. She spends the time with the patient in a warm and caring manner. When it came time to have the colonoscopy, Dr. Mehta was very gentle and was very caring in speaking with my family members. I would refer anyone of my friends and family to Dr. Mehta. Shes the best !

This Dr is Busy. If you have a real cancer scare, previous cancer in the Gastro area, have CML and family history of colon cancer this Dr doesn't care. First Come First Serve like McDonalds. Find a Dr who understands the urgency and assists you in any way what so ever. They did nothing.... Seriously !!!! If a Dr orders Stat and and Ins Company says Expedite DEAF EARS.... FYI

Dr. Mehta is very knowledgeable and can explain conditions in a very human, easy to understand way. Very thorough and caring doctor.
