Dr. Mahmoud Barrie, MD

I found out from him on yesterday that Dr. Barrie was the doctor that removed a gall stone that was blocking my bio duct back in February of 2021 and it made me feel good to know that he would possibly be doing a colonoscopy on me sometime in the near future.

Dr. Barrie came into the room with a smile and an easy going spirit. I instantly felt at ease, he asked questions, and his responses were thoughtful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Barrie for gastro concerns.

Over the years, I was very apprehensive about having a colonoscopy performed on me. My colonoscopy fears were built unnecessarily on 2nd hand information from non professionals. Although I was trepid about the procedure, I knew the importance of having one performed. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Barrie who was very thorough in explaining the entire colonoscopy procedure. My fears were addressed and I agreed to have the procedure performed. My procedure was an early morning procedure. It went seamlessly and I had lunch soon there after with no issue. I also felt better about my digestive track health moving forward.

My wait was longer than I desired, but I was so glad I waited. Dr. Barrie was so detailed and thourough. He gave me so much information that allowed me to completely understand what is going on with my body. Even with my condition, I feel so relieved. Office staff is Great, too.

I loved that he broke down my condition to where I understood what is happening to me. Very thorough.

I was impressed by the professionalism and care I received. Dr. Barrie and staff made me feel like my health mattered. All my questions and concerns were addressed.

These people don’t answer the phone nor do they return calls. Waiting for a call from 2 weeks ago.. how do you run a business like that. Did recommend him. Now I have egg on my face because of the Unprofessionalism. I which the staff behind the Dr. would value his reputation enough to do better,

Dr. Barrie and his staff are professionals The office is very clean plenty of seating with respect to the 6ft.

I am nor sure if it’s just the office staff or Dr. Barrie himself, but after being in severe distress for several weeks, Dr. Barrie ordered a CT scan. I called every day for 9 days and was given his nurses voicemail every time. I explained that the situation was worsening and I needed to know when the ct would happen and needed Dr. Barrie to know what was going on. She never returned my call. 10 days later I had emergency surgery for a complete bowel obstruction after 3 weeks of not being able to eat or drink clearly because there was nowhere for anything to go but back up. 6 days after my surgery and 17 days after Dr. Barrie ordered the ct scan, I received a voicemail from his staff stating that because my X-ray was fine there was no reason for CT. I almost died because his staff was unable to schedule a CT scan. It became more interesting because even after my surgery, they continued to call me for a colonoscopy, even after being told everything had been done and I had a new GI doc

excellent, and very thorough.

I waited an hour and a half to see the Dr., to find out that someone who arrived after me was seen before me. I was on time. Which literally left me with about 12 minutes to discuss my issues.

Great experience so far. Dr. Barrie really took time and was very encouraging and supportive. That really means a lot if you have been I'll for a while. Thanks for that. One improvement would be the phone system. It comes up busy quite a bit, and won't let you through then. Not sure if it's just a temporary problem with their phone people though.

My visit was excellent. The staff were professional and kind. Dr. Barrie was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and efficient in the field of gastroenterology. He answered all my questions and taught me how to care for myself going forward. I highly recommend Dr. Barrie if you are looking for a good doctor who enjoys his profession and has compassion for the patient.

Highly skilled and excellent in treating both the patient and the disease. I liked that he took the time to thoroughly review everything that was happening with me.

Dr. Barrie is knowledgeable, good listener, processes and considers patient insight and concerns. Thoughtful in relating to my issues.
