Dr. Mahmood Mahdavi, MD

I have been to Dr Mahdavi since I was a little kid plagued with ear problems. I went to school with his children. He was my trusted doctor and I returned to his office after living in nyc post college. I went in for what I suspected was an ear infection, and after doing a small procedure (seems like common practice in order to bill people) I was left with a $500 bill - even with excellent insurance. While dr mahdavi himself is kind and seemingly a good doctor- his staff are combative, rude, and beyond unhelpful. I was charged a “new patient fee” despite being his patient for over 17 years?!? It’s absurd, unethical, and his employees don’t belong in the medical field since they lack any amount of empathy. Please only visit this office if you are prepared to be billed frivolously.

I had bilateral sinus surgery. This was a repeat due to years of allergic reactions that caused a recurring problem with my sinuses. My father was a physician and when I asked him where to go, he didn’t miss a beat in saying Dr. Mahdavi. I am glad I followed my fathers recommendation. I appreciate that Dr. Mahdavi is conservative in his approach to treatment, and he is very methodical in his work. When I speak to him and ask questions, he never interrupts. Dr. Mahdavi makes sure he understands my concerns and addresses every question I have without rushing. You will get as much time with the doctor as you need! Great doctor and great outcome.

He was recommended to my husband by the primary care doctor. There was suspicion of thyroid cancer. I am grateful for this man as he saved his life. An operation that was supposed to take 3 and a 1/2 hours went 9 hours. Dr. Mahadavi Saved my husband's ability to speak and eat. There will be more treatments, but without the skilled hand and patience and decades of doing this I cannot say that the outcome would have been what it is. After this exhaustingly long day he took the time to call me and offer all known information to date. He stated to call him if I had any further questions because obviously I was hit with a frying Pan. I found his bedside manner to be outstanding. I have seen every specialist on the planet between myself and my children. I would highly recommend you consult with this doctor if you feel/ are told you are in need of any head or neck surgery.

I had an adult tonsillectomy and my adenoids removed at the age of 29. Dr. Mahdavi was efficient, intelligent and empathetic. I would recommend any adult that is having issues with their tonsils visit this Dr. From the initial consultation to the post op, Mahdavi was thorough and precise. I had no issues during my recovery and his nurse made an effort to reach out to me and my husband throughout to ensure I was ok. Wonderful experience.

Mahdavi is by far one of the best doctors. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends of family. He was able to help me make a full recovery as quickly and painlessly as possible.
