Dr. Maha Zikra, MD

Dr Zikra is an amazing doctor who has always cared about me and finding the best treatment for my endocrine disorders. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I am so glad I found her theme I moved back to Florida over 10 years ago.

She very good and wouldn’t change doctors for nothing

I have been seeing Dr. Zikra for approximately 15 years. From day one, she has been caring, patient, and understanding of my health concerns. I was very hard-headed when I started taking meds, but she educated me and encouraged me to take a diabetes course. The course was eye-opening, and I thank her for that. Throughout the years, my diabetes has been stable, and my health has been perfect. I referred my mother to see her as her diabetes was uncontrollable, and in no time after seeing Dr. Zikra, she as well has had good results with her visits and health. Thank you, Dr. Zikra and staff, for always being so caring and treating me as a patient and not a number.

New patient appointment less than 10 minutes. Didn’t ask my symptoms or why I was there. But sure took my money! Left in tears!!!!!!

I met Dr Zikra after three days in the hospital. She was the only one who actually diagnosed my ailment. She found I had Addisons disease and I have been her patient since. She's kind, professional, knowledgable and listens. All the things I love about her.

Dr. Maha Zikra is one of the best Diabetes and Endocronologist in Town - i am not sure the exact year i went in -it was in 2004 or 2005 or 2006... probably during that period- She is highly knowledgeable, highly effective - i would recommend her anywhere in the wold... The Entire staff in the office were really nice and wonderful... people like Naiom is exceptionally great- but all the staff on the phone or in person are very courteous, good and highly professional .

I have been a patient of Dr. Zikra's for over 20 years. She has always been patient, kind and very informative. Her staff is pleasant and accommodating. The office is run efficiently, I have never waited very long to be seen by the doctor. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Zikra is phenomenal! I have been to several specialists, including my primary provider who were not able to determine why I couldn't walk, why I had severe joint and muscle pain, constant low blood sugar level, low blood pressure, excessive urination, unintended weight loss, extreme fatigue, pain in the lower back of my leg, itching, headaches, and much more. Dr. Zikra's experience and professionalism in getting to create the whole person picture, led her to suspect and target the cause within 10 minutes of speaking to me on my first visit. In just a few days I can walk again and I am beginning to feel like myself. Dr. Zikra gave me a new appreciation for medical specialists as I was beginning to believe that no one had the knowledge or experience to determine what was happening. Dr. Zikra is very pleasant and knowledgeable. She takes her time with her patients and not treat you like an assembly line. She is very patient and easy to talk with when you have concerns.

Tried several time to set up an appointment. The lady told me that we don’t except your insurance. I called the insurance company and they confirmed that they do then called again several times told me they do except insurance and put me on hold for long time and they disconnected me really bad staff very rude, and I would not recommend anybody to them. After reading many bad reviews would not give them my business.

Doctor does virtual visits with the door open so everyone can hear your medical history. Potential underlying issues were ignored. Was given visits with non-Endocrinologist support staff.

Truly one of the worst doctors experiences I’ve ever had. I ended up crying and walking out. She doesn’t take the time to listen to you. She rushes through your appointment and doesn’t even listen to your thoughts or symptoms. I told her I have a swollen lump on my neck that has been causing me pain for a couple weeks, and she said “no it’s not it’s not causing you pain, you’re just thinking about it too much.” What? How does she know if I’m in pain? She wouldn’t do an ultrasound to look at the lump and said she wasn’t concerned even though I had paperwork from a previous ultrasound that stated I needed another ultrasound check up on it. She wouldn’t. She then gave me bloodwork only for TSH, when I asked for a complete thyroid panel to compare to my previous blood work since I have prior thyroid issues, she refused and said “YOU want that, I don’t” even though all of my previous doctors told me I needed them. Don’t waste your time or health!!! She’s horrible!!!

I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best medical visit I've had in years! The staff was so helpful and courteous from the start. By the time I entered the exam room Dr. Zikra had already reviewed all of my labs and scans. She immediately put me at ease. She then took her time to explain the details of my condition, went over the proper use of my medications and set me up for follow-up care. I felt heard and well taken care of and never felt rushed.

I have received care from Dr Zikra for over 10 years. I have found her to be completely forthright in dealing with all facets of my regime including prescriptions, recommended dietary and exercise programs. At 75, I have maintained a normal and continued healthy lifestyle. Her staff provides excellent support from prescriptions to scheduled visits. Tele visits made appointments easy during the COVID peak. I HIGHLY recommend this fine doctor.

Finally I found a great Endocrinologist who listens to you, caring and passionate doctor, very knowledgeable, such a quality very hard to find these days, and staff are very helpful and friendly. Even if their schedule is full for many weeks, you will not regret waiting.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zikra for 5 years and they have been amazing! Her office staff is always there and has helped me out with anything I have needed. They are friendly and helpful and Dr. Zikra responds even between appointments when I have needed help.

I had the opportunity to visit for the first time Dr. Zikra. I was not disappointed. She is very caring and knowledgeable. She really does care about her patient. I would definitely encourage anyone in search of an Endocrinologist to check with Her.
