Dr. Madhurima Uppalapati, MD

She lied about my pathology during my appointment and pushed chemo. Said my path showed a protein that it didn’t, but she wouldn’t show me until I signed up for chemo. She rushed me, didn’t explain things, lied, and left me crying in her office. Her nurse gave me my path report as I was leaving. That’s when I saw the Dr lied. I called and confronted her about it, and I requested additional testing based off my path. She refused three times, finally did it. She wouldn’t answer my questions in the appointment and just pushed chemo. I got 2nd and 3rd opinions-both said chemo is not required and that my path report showed different than Dr. U said. I do not recommend her, and now I refuse to see anyone in the same practice as her in case they have the same morals and standards as her.

It was horrible. She has way too many patients and she doesn't take care of them. She leaves it up to her NP and PA to do all of the hard work. She doesn't have good bedside manner either. Save yourself the trouble. Do not make this person your doctor...you will never be able to locate her.

Receptionist left a message on my voicemail a day before my appointment to tell me that my appointment was cancelled for a later date. That “later date” is the same day I’m scheduled to see my neurologist. I called the office, no one picked up, so I left a v-mail to ask to reschedule. Three days later I haven’t heard anything back from Dr. U receptionist. This receptionist is literally running Dr U’s office like a dictatorship. This woman have no consideration for Dr U’s patients. I will simply find another Hematologist, because this is cruel and unacceptable! Time is not on my side with thrombocytopenia. It will not heal itself, I actually need to see a doctor very soon to start treatment.
