Kind, caring doctor who has really helped me
I have been seeing Dr Iqbal for about two years now for my chronic lower back pain which was not resolved by a fusion of the L4,L5,S1 vertebrae about 10 1/2 years ago. Throughout the time I have been seeing him he has listened to my concerns and made recommendations for improving my condition. He listened to me when I explained what treatments I had already tried and that I wanted to exhaust all the noninvasive treatment options available. Unfortunately those treatments either provided limited relief which did not last or no relief at all. I have just completed a trial of a Spinal Cord Stimulator which offered amazing relief. I am now awaiting a permanent implant. Although he recommended this treatment after reviewing my MRI results when I first started seeing him, he respected my desire to try other things first. Dr. Iqbal never pushed me to accept any treatments. He is the first doctor who listened to me and allowed me to direct my treatment. I highly recommend him to others.

Dr Iqbal is excellent.
Seeing Dr Iqbal has far exceeded my hopes: He listens, he has options, he explains, and he even follows up and genuinely wants to know and improve even great results. Dr Iqbal is genuinely compassionate and didn't look down on me for having experiences and concerns, and demanding answers. His thorough explanations helped me decide on my terms to try an actual helpful treatment option confidently, and his recommendation and identification of issues has turned out to be spot-on, such a releif and so worth it! In the past I've seen OTHER different kinds of pain management specialists where I traveled only to waste my time and be treated like I was wasting theirs, being offered the "only" option as opiods. (?!?!) Dr Iqbal is not like that! Turns out Dr Iqbal DID have a good non-opoid option for me, gave me clear explanations I had never heard before, plus great results! I can now walk so much better and I have a massive chunk of life back, that I really didn't think possible.

If I could give Dr. Iqbal 10 stars I would. He has helped both my husband and I with pain issues in our back, legs, knees and ankles. He is magical. He knows just what to do and how to do it and does it with more caring and compassion than you can imagine. He performs all procedures and doesn't have a PA doing it. His staff is all friendly and professional. I HIGHLY recommend him. He is now at a new practice at Elite Pain and Spine Institute 535 E. McKellips Rd., Suite 121, Mesa. You won't be sorry you went to see him.

Although Dr. Iqbal is a fair practician with a well rounded and variety of treatments, his doesn't accommodate his patients with an open ear. The one treatment that worked and helped me reduce my pain and use of narcos was quickly eliminated by insurance coverage. Thus placing me a predicament. Not able or willing to increase my pain relief with pills. Not complaint but no alternate treatments panned out so why not increase my dose. It was my voluntary request to reduce them too.

Dr Iqbal is one of the kindest doctors I have met. He has a genuine personality and takes the time to listen and understand my problems. He is up to date on current practices and was able to help with my back and neck pain 100%. I have since referred my family members to see him for their chronic pain issues.
