My son saw Dr Durand for chronic Lyme and Bartonellosis from late August 2020-February 2020. When we first met Dr Durand through a telehealth visit, we found him to be pleasant to speak with, and we were thankful that he finally diagnosed my son with tick-borne illnesses, as he had been ill for 8 years. He did a fairly good job of answering our initial questions, but it became clear rather quickly that Dr Durand does not appreciate input as far as one's own medical care is concerned. During my son's second visit with Dr Durand, we asked about treating the Bartonella with antibiotics that were shown to perhaps be the most effective ones based on a John's Hopkin's study from April, 2020 (we were hoping to minimize the time our son had to be on antibiotics, so we hoped that finding the most effective ones quickly might minimize any long-term health effects due to chronic antibiotic use). Dr Durand seemed absolutely fine with prescribing the two most effective antibiotics suggested in

Dr. Durand has been my specialist treating me for a number of chronic tick borne infections which have been devastating to my health. When I first started seeing him in 2015 I immediately felt understood in a world of very confusing symptoms. He helped me sort them out one by one and brought me back to health through many waves of remission and reoccurance which is the nature of these types of chronic infections. Dr Durand is a great listener, has excellent communication skills and a brilliant mind. Having learned so much about tick born diseases among all his experience as an MD, he is a true expert in his field and I am forever thankful to be under his care. Can't say enogh about him, his staff and all the excellent care Ive recieved over the years at Family Tree Health.

Has been my PCP for most of my life. The only complaint I'd ever make is that he can be booked because of how well mannered, and personable he can be! Appointments are always within a few minutes of schedule, and always has positive staff in the waiting room. In a time where doctors push medications hard, he always make sure that you're eating right and exercising. He listens well to how you feel and what you think may be an issue.

I’d like to amend my previous post. I SUFFERED with Lyme disease for 5 years before I met Dr. Durand. The BEST Infectious Disease doctors in Boston simply gave me Doxycycline and then told me I had post Lyme syndrome and gave up. Dr Durand didn’t. He changed my protocol a few times but then found the answer. I have been symptom free for almost 4 years and test negative for Bb!!! Because this doctor is tenacious, smart and LISTENS I am living Lyme free and back to all my activities. Yes, it’s hard to get an appointment. His schedule is packed. But, he was worth the wait. He may be expensive if he doesn’t take your insurance but you can’t put a price on getting your health back. This man is my hero. He probably doesn’t feel like that about me because I refer so many Lyme suffers to his practice. I am not the only person I know who has been cured of Lyme because of Dr. Durand. Thank you Dr. D!!

Dr Durand is an amazing practitioner. He takes the time needed to assess your ongoing progress and never makes you feel rushed. He expects detailed notes between appointments and values your thoughts and feelings. He approaches health as a team effort and I appreciate that he expects me to follow through with med, diet or lifestyle changes. No question is unanswered. Thank you Dr Durand!

Dr. Durand has been both helpful and supportive with my Lyme treatment. Since every patient is unique (different exposure time, length of time of having Lyme, their immune response, etc.) the treatment is supportive by testing and bi-monthly follow-up appointments. His schedule is extremely tight, so a first time appointment is difficult to obtain. Yet, every appointment that I have had, has been for the full time needed/scheduled to allow me to leave and further improve my health.

Horrible experience. We were aware that Dr. Durand was not covered by our insurance & willing to pay out of pocket. However, we were not quoted the fee for his initial visit. It was $650! We contested it due to the fact that we were told the visit was 1.5 hours. Dr. Durand spend @20 min. The NP spent another 20mins and the rest my husband was left alone waiting the the exam room. They denied this & did not tell the truth w/other issues. Research other Lyme Docs they do exist in NH & are better
