Dr. Lydia Sahara, MD

I've been going to Dr Sahara for my annual skin check for 5+ years. Dr Sahara is thorough, easy to talk with, and listens to my concerns. She will rarely remove non-threatening moles or skin tags unless specifically asked. But when Dr Sahara finds a troublesome spot, she does not hesitate to take action, either sending a sample in to be tested or referring me for futher treatment. I trust Dr Sahara. Anotherthing I really like is that my health records are online and she has already reviewed my history before seeing me. Continuity of care. I like it.

I felt that she did a fairly thorough job of examining me for troublesome moles, but she chose to do a shave on one of my moles. She must not have been careful with respect to sterilization of the area or the equipment because the shave was infected the moment that I removed the bandage two days later. I self treated the infection as the cost of my visit was over $1k (for a 30 minute visit plus pathology on one shave) and I had no desire to spend more money for them to treat the infection. It took over a month and a half for the wound to heal. Naturally, because I self treated rather than spend more money, the clinic would not allow any adjustment on their billing and offered no apology for having caused the infection. I won't be going back!!
