Best Doctor
Dr. Haddock took the time to listen to me,review my chart and explain to me the details of my treatment and my condition. He and his staff are very professional and very attentive. I am glad I choose him as my doctor. Very Happy with him. I had been with him for more than a year.

I am so grateful that Dr. Haddock is my retina doctor. He saved my eyesight. 3 months later my vision has improved significantly. He explains my progress and is caring and competent. I highly recommend him.

Mean and Unhelpfu
I was referred to this doctor by ONE OF HIS COLLEAGUES IN THE SAME HOSPITAL. I kept having to explain-first to his 3 underlings, then to him: a total of more than 12 times what the problem was. To my dismay, he then asked me, again, why I came there. I referred him to his file and referral from his colleague and he said to go back to him. His colleague had another specialty and wanted me looked after by a specialist. He had absolutely no interest. Told me to go back to the other doctor who discharged me. As you can imagine, this was very disturbing. I need now to find another eye doctor. I cannot recommend this nasty guy or Bascom Palmer.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
This is my first negative review of a physician. Dr. Haddock was rude, disrespectful, dismissive, and in a hurry. He behaved as if he had an intense dislike for me. He was minimally helpful and incompetently suggested my dry, sticky/heavy eye problem as probably the result of droopy eyelids (I had bleph surgery three years ago and my eyelids are definitely not droopy). The first words out of his mouth were, "I can't say your last name so I'm just going to call you "Joan." (I should have said, "No problem, Luis.") At the end of the 3-minute visit, he referred me to someone else. He was in such a hurry, I could not catch the other doc's name. I asked him to spell it and instead of just saying, "K-o-o," he said, "It's in the system" and left the room. Dr. Haddock should consider going into research; he doesn't communicate well with or show respect for patients. I have friends who received their medical training at "La Yupi" and I've always had respect for that medical school.
