Excellent Surgeon
Several weeks ago I had a tendon replaced. Dr. Bolano performed the surgery. All went well. I Recently returned to have the cast removed . The wait time to see the Dr is excellent . I didn’t wait five minutes before being called to the exam room. Staff was very friendly and kind. Dr. Bolano explained everything to me about recovery and answered questions He is an excellent surgeon.

NEEDS BEDSIDE MANNER SHOW MORE COMPASSION
I had surgery in 2021 and my hand is still giving me problems. Went to a different doctor for my other hand only to be told the previous surgery that I had that I should never have been cut where I was for the surgery from Dr. Bolano. My left hand is better but I still have pain and it's probably from scar tissue over the sheath where the tendons run. It's important to me for doctors to have a good bedside manner and show that they care. I don't find these qualities in him and I always feel like he is rushed.

Finger Surgeries
I am very grateful to Dr. Bolano. After I nearly severed a finger, he performed a complex surgery to repair my tendon, nerve, and DIP joint. He also performed another necessary fusion surgery on it about 8 months later. He did a great job on both, especially considering how badly cut up my finger was. At all of my follow up appointments he was always gentle and thorough. Only thing he could improve on was maybe educating the patient a little better, but I mostly got what I needed by asking a lot of questions. He's just not a man of many words. He is extremely intelligent and I believe cares deeply about his patients. I'd absolutely trust him again and thankful we have such a skilled hand surgeon in our area.

Elbow pain
Tendinitis of my Left elbow. He examined my elbow & ask questions reference any prior injuries to my elbow. A splint was given at the appointment. Advised what meds would work. I followed his treatment plan & my elbow returned to normal in a week or so. I received excellent care & will return to him with any further concerns.

Dr. Bolono has been my surgeon for the following: Torn tendon under elbow; carpel tunnel (right and left); another torn tendon on top of elbow, left thumb joint replacement; and shoulder tendon repair, bone spurs and manipulation. (Torn tendons we’re side effects to Levofloxuin.) Each surgery was done to perfection. My healing time with every surgery was minimal. He is purely professional and serious. He is the best and in great demand. If you have to wait, it is totally worth waiting for the best. His time is invaluable and being his patient is your good fortune.

Dr. Bolano completely lacks human decency. After completing carpal tunnel surgery on my husband, he didn’t even come in and tell me everything had gone well. That, in my opinion, is bad enough. However, now on top of that, he didn’t even show up to the follow-up appointment. My husband spent two hours driving time, and three hours waiting for him. Sure wish we could send him a bill to compensate for my husband’s wasted time. He is a complete and total jerk!

I have seen him three times and he has not helped me. The office quadruple books patients, which should not be allowed. I waited 3.5 hours last time to see him. He spent less than 2 minutes with me. He has no social or communication skills whatsoever. My shoulder has moved forward, and I have burning all the way down my arm into my right wrist. He has not examine my shoulder one time. He told me to "learn to live with the pain and exercise." I do 90 minutes of exercise a day!

7:30am appointment and he strolls in around 8:15 with coffee in hand. 18 months after surgery and my hand is worse than the first time I saw him. I cannot recommend.

Dr Bolano was recommended to me by another orthopedic office in the area as the best hand surgeon around. He has done surgery on my thumb and joint replacement on my finger and I am highly pleased with the results. He explains the problem and the solution well and demonstrates exactly how he wants me to exercise the affected area. I have always been able to get an appointment soon and the non-emergency surgery was scheduled quickly. I have never had to wait long in the office.
