Excellent Compassionate Doctor
1st I’m going to agree with Mary! PLEASE only leave 1st hand reviews! My 18+ years 1st hand experience can tell you honestly, that Dr. B is a patient, caring, empathetic doctor, who will tell you straight. He will take the time to explain what you need explained. At the same time, he will tell you that’s the 5th time he’s heard that excuse about not exercising, eating right, or missing your medication! I had a cancer scare a few years ago & Dr. B even consulted with another Dr. of mine, even though he was in a completely different network etc… He did it strictly to taper my treatment for me! The entire staff over there are first rate, professionals who do their jobs with pride! From the people who check you in (and out) to the people who take your blood, give you EKG’s or just interact with you! Occasionally things happen. But I have never had anything but a reasonable turn around for lab work, in fact I prefer to get my lab work there. And they’ve never missed a follow up call!

I would not post anything negative about Dr. Buono that did not happen to you personally. Your friend could be a liar and/or just seeking attention. Yes, anti-depressants can take two to four weeks to get into a person's system to see results but there can be negative effects that need immediate attention. As far as prescribing "uppers and downers," you do not know that person's medical diagnosis. Those medications are prescribed for all different reasons. I have never known any doctor in that practice to prescribe "anything you want." What a defaming statement to make. I would be careful as to what you post as you can ruin years of a person's profession by a statement that is hearsay, but you did post anonymously so you are protected. Next time stick to what you know. We have been seeing Dr. Buono for 26 years. He was the pediatrician for my children and still cares for our family. He has never been anything less than professional and that goes for the entire medical staff.

We feel that Dr. Buono and Pat are very thorough. Our experiences have been positive ones. Following through on their medical suggestions is on the patient. Over the years we found the front-desk staff to be rude and not accommodating at all.... But they’ve since changed and the newer staff is much friendlier and actually seem to care.

I have been told by one of Dr. Buono’s patients, he can go to an appointment and ask for ANYTHING he wants. At first I didn’t believe him, but then I found out this patient is prescribed TWO narcotics. One being an upper and the other a downer; this is concerning on many levels. Additionally, the patient of Dr. Buono has received many prescriptions for different anti-depressants over a short period of time. Everyone knows, medication takes time to work, especially anti-depressants. It is terrifying that a doctor will provide “whatever” this patient wants, when he wants it.

I am very pleased to be a new patient of Dr. Luigi Buono. It is my experience that he is very thorough when he treats you. He listens to all you have to say, asks many questions about family medical history, and never makes you feel rushed. Dr. Buono, is compassionate, professional and has a wonderful sense of humor, which I find is helpful in alleviating my anxiety. His ability to make you understand that your treatment is a combined effort is great. His staff is also top notch.

My aunt was a patient here for many years. I don't think that she was getting much out of her many, many visits to this office. Misdiagnosis' of aspirated pneumonia as a "minor uti" for 3 years definitely eroded her health and quality of life. Even when I voiced my fears of pneumonia we were told that I was incorrect. There are some great nurses and nurse practitioners here but there are some real jerks, too. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a diagnosis.
