Our first minute with Dr. Hwang, we were absolutely captivated. She immediately put our new parent nerves to rest with her easy going nature and comedy, but then it became too much. After a few minutes it felt like she was doing a stand up routine rather than addressing any of our concerns, and we left knowing a great deal about her personal life (about her kid, her niece, her husband, etc) which isn’t a problem inherently but it speaks to the content of the visit given that she didn’t know anything about us at the end. What really stood out though is that she was counseling us on giving our daughter the sex talk and that it was important that my husband have a good relationship with her so that she has less sexual partners in the future. She was four days old. Her future sex life was the least of our concerns. The whole conversation felt inappropriate. Additionally, she never mentioned vitamin D supplements since she is exclusively breastfed and we’re just learning this now at 6 weeks

Highly Recommend Dr. Hwang
I have been a patient of Dr. Hwang for almost 25 years. She is very knowledgeable and is also very in touch with her patients. She is patient and reassuring and takes the time to listen.
