Dr. Lucas Burton, MD

Dr. Burton was straight to the point. He explained my issue and the surgery i would need. I didn't have to wait long for the visit. The only downside is that I'm in way more pain than I allow to be seen. All my scans show the severity of my medical issues and how much pain I'm in. However I feel as if it wasn't acknowledged. Other than that, the visit was good. My surgery is scheduled in q weeks

He introduced himself and his student, said he'd reviewed my case and did not think that more knee surgery is needed and that he wanted to confirm his diagnosis before beginning treatment. That was very comforting to hear. He ordered other text to rule out or to confirm surgery. He listened to me and answered my questions. My first encounter with Dr Lucas encouraged me to allow him to guide my treatment to restore my health. His creditionals were very impressive and he is highly recommended in his field.

It was highly impressive that Dr. Burton provides an old school approach of taking his time with patients with providing a thorough explanation of the mechanics of my knee issue, complete with visuals from x-ray. This is a rare level of care provided, especially with a large volume of patients. The staff in the office were genuinely friendly and showed great patient concern. I am not easily impressed but was highly impressed with Dr. Burton and his staff!

This was a follow-up visit to a successful complex knee replacement.

Dr Burton listened answering all my questions throughly. He helped me make a plan to address my problems.

Dr. Burton was personable, clear in his assessment of your problem. He talked to you and not down to you. His surgery technique was above board and he wasa great surgeon to work with.

I am very impressed with the level of care and concern demonstrated by Dr. Burton during my visits with him. He is knowledgeable and he willingly answers questions and never makes you feel he is rushed or hurried. He explains your condition in an easily understood way. I highly recommend Dr. Burton and TOA for orthopedic care.

Dr. Burton is very thorough and tries to explain in a way that you understand things. Him and all of us staff are excellent! It's about a three and a half hour drive one way to see Dr burton. But it's well worth it!

My husband needed hip replacement and was hesitant to get it done. He had been searching for over a year to find the right doctor. He found that in Dr. Burton. Dr. Burton is very professional and knowledgeable in his field. The office and staff was also very friendly, professional and informative. After surgery he also kept getting text messages checking on his progress and reminders of his after care and medicines. Highly recommend.

The entire experience was great. The support staff was professional and welcoming. Dr. Burton had reviewed my information prior to my appointment and was prepared to explain the appropriate treatment plan. I felt totally confident in the go forward plan.

Dr. Burton takes his time with patients, explains procedures, and is thorough with explanations. Offers practical options to conditions. Staff at both the Nashville office and Mt. Juliet office are outstanding.

I broke my femur in a accident at work. He is a great dr who took the time to explain everything to me and my wife. Th surgery went great and all of my follow up visits have been great. He takes the time to talk and explain things to you plus he will answer all of your questions. Plus the office staff and the nurses and assistants were great and very nice.

Came from cookeville to a doctor who can hopefully help. Dr. Burton was very friendly and didn’t rush through my appointment. He listened to everything I had to say and started right away on his concerns. He was concerned and took the time testing things and doing things that were most important. I was not rushed or talked over but treated with respect . It’s great to be with a doctor who really cares.
