My experience was quite negative. I was referred to this doctor from another provider, and did not meet him before my procedure. He was abrupt in manner, hurried when speaking to me, and most importantly dismissive that I was not numb and could feel the epidural. He also dismissed that I was awake, telling me that he had given me enough versed to relax me. However, I was not relaxed at any point during the procedure or after. He also wrote his notes to be completely different from my actual experience, saying the patient was relaxed, and did not experience discomfort. Well, I can say, I was very anxious, and felt the pain every step. I even heard the needle going into my neck.

Yes. Dr. Shih actually looked at my MRI results with me and explained what is happening with my spine. I felt very confident with his recommendations.
