The Best
I first went to Dr. Maloney in 1999 as she was opening her office in Essex. I needed a sudden physical for an operation, and she was available. I liked her very much. Over time my wife, children, and elderly parents migrated to her. She was part of major medical issues for my parents as they reached the end of their life and she was compassionate, helpful to me as the primary caregiver, and supportive of me as a patient. I found her easy to talk to and focused on what I was saying when with her. Only an out-of-state move caused me to leave her. I miss her care and highly recommend her as a PCP and person.

Kicked out as a patient when ill
My wife and I have been patients of dr. Maloney for well over 15 years. My wife goes frequently, and I had not been to see here in 5-6 years. Luckily I have been healthy, but I recently developed a sinus infection and requested an appointment to see her. My wife scheduled one but I was called shortly thereafter and told that since I had not seen dr. Maloney in 5-6 years she no longer considered me her patient, and since she is not taking on new patients she would not see me. So I am left with a sinus infection that needs meds and the doctor I used as my PCP for years refusing to see me! I now need to go to the urgent care clinic to get treated and am forced to find a new doctor ASAP. Luckily Dr. Baldwin who is in the same facility as she agreed to take me on but not until June. WHAT DOCTOR REFUSES TO SEE A LONG TIME PATIENT WHEN THEY ARE ILL JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN IN HER OFFICE FOR AWHILE?? ANSWER…not one I would ever recommend to anyone!!

The most intelligent, professional and compassionate Doctor. Dr Maloney’s passion never waivers. She is an outstanding physician. Thanks to her my daughter was finally properly diagnosed after 18 years. Over the past 20 years I have had excellent care. So many others feel the same. She is one in a million. Thank you Dr. Maloney.

I have been her patient for over 20 years, and suddenly it is next to impossible to get an appointment with her unless I wait 6 months. I am very disappointed as I consider her to be an excellent doctor and am reluctant to change to another one.

Like other reviewers said, unbelievably long wait times. That's because she spends a little too much time with patients, in my opinion. That's not really a dig -- more of an observation. I just make early morning appointments before she's running late (when I can). She has an excellent demeanor and is happy to discuss possible diagnoses and my reluctance to take drugs, and what alternative approaches might be possible. The ninny at the front desk can be difficult to deal with, but the nurses are STELLAR. My elderly parents also go to Dr. Maloney and respect her and are very satisfied with their care.

Dr. Maloney was our long time family doctor. Our leaving the practice was long overdue. Aside form the unbelievably long wait times, sometimes over 2 hours, Dr Maloney misdiagnosed my 44 year old husband for 10 months. He actually had cancer and died. I thought after that she would be more vigilant. She had me on 18 years of prednisone and Tramadol and Zanax. Now with my new doctors it has taken me a horrible year of pain and suffering to come off all of this. It effected my health severely. All this because she never came through on referrals unless I was pushing daily for months on end. I had no real diagnosis. She is not vigilant enough and to much gets missed. I also would have appreciated an apology.

She is one of the best primary care physicians nationwide in the practice of general medicine. Her knowledge, experience and care for her patients are remarkable. She saved my life with her early diagnosis of my cancer. She is both thorough and compassionate, always. I trust no one else with my healthcare.

Recently moved to the area. Meet with Dr. Maloney and she is very nice. Unfortunately she miss-diagnosed my flu as a common cold. Not the end of the world. But her office is completely incompetent. You will regularly will have to wait over a hour on all appointments. My wife and I were both experiencing horrible service. When my wife would rather go to a walk-in for a physical than her primary....for me that was the last straw.

Dr. Maloney is excellent. She really listens and cares about her patients. Never feel as if shes rushing in and out to see me. She has you call if you are better or not, and if your not she puts another treatment plan in place. I don't know how she does it, being in private practice but I am very grateful she does. She is the best/

Dr Maloney provided excellent compassionate care to my mother when she was in convalescent care in Chester, and at Middletown Hospice many years ago. I remember Dr. M's Kindness and presence with my Mom at the moment if her death. I am sure her presence allowed her to leave so peacefully. Heart thanks.
