Dr. Louis Michaelos, DO

I see Dr. Louis now every 6 months as he was the surgeon that removed 2 cancer lesions on my eyeball. After the 3 reoccurance he was unable to remove so I was referred to Moffitt for treatments.Dr Louis has monitored me throughout this past year. I could never thank him for his care. He is the BEST!

Back in the 90’s I used to Dr. Louis Michaelos’ grandfather who happens they have the same name. I moved back in 2003 to Philadelphia then returned to the Bay Area in 2022. Now 2 generations later I see his grandson Dr Louis Michaelos. How Ironic! They were both the best! Apples don’t fall far from the trees! I’m very thankful!

Everybody there was very friendly and made me feel that I would be in good hands. I was very surprised that I did not have to wait a long time to go through all the procedures. I felt that I was in good hands with the staff and with the doctor. I would highly recommend St. Michaels and Dr. Michaelos very highly.

Dr. Louis Michaelos' surgery center staff were the best. A very capable team. It's been 2 weeks and I'm delighted with being able to see out of the eye again. I can compare this surgery with a cataract surgery I had on other eye 8 years ago by another surgery center and doctor. It was night & day. Dr. Michaelos outshines them all. He exudes kindness in addition to skills. His surgery took 25 minutes, painless. Largo, Florida is very fortunate to have such a talented, capable Eye Surgery Center in our little city with a 3rd generation doctor as Dr. Louis Michaelos' continuing the reign.

He immediately recognized my problem and addressed a resolution which did not work (the eye drops were new on market and I had bad reactions. He immediately had me back in his office, and prescribed a wonderful remedy!

Dr. Louis Michaelos is reminiscent of the days when family doctors made house calls. He is comforting, caring, knowledgeable and informative. I first saw Dr. Louis on 3/16/22. I had no vision in my right eye due to a severe cornea infection. Dr. Louis saw me everyday including opening the office on Sat. and Sun. (except on the day he had surgery, then his father, Dr. John examined my eye and he was also very caring and thorough). Dr. Louis' aggressive treatment with medicines and then performing emergency surgery to replace my cornea on 3/24/22, saved my vision. I highly recommend Dr. Louis Michaelos and St. Michaels Eye and Laser Institute. He is an amazing doctor and the entire staff is efficient, courteous and very personable.

Helped me with my keratoconus

The entire staff has been extraordinarily helpful and kind. Dr. Louis has been great, I would highly recommend him for cataract surgery. He is honest, thorough, knowledgeable, and has given me vision that I have not experienced before in my life. With the information he gave me and the technicians, I was comforted and never apprehensive about surgery. I never thought I would see this clearly and I have a new lease on life.

It was a great experience, Doctor walked me through the entire EPILASIK process. Surgery took less than 10 minutes. He is very informative and reassuring. Staff is very sweet and kind as well. I have the best vision I have ever had now.

5 stars all around. From the reception desk to the technicians and nurses in the surgical center all are friendly, caring and amazing. As for Dr Michaelos he is a rock star in my opinion. He takes the time to explain the procedure, and makes you feel at ease. I am thrilled with my cataract surgery and would recommend him to anyone for their vision needs.

Dr. Louis Michaelos is extremely knowledgable, professional, and thorough. He explains everything in great length and devotes time to answer any questions. He's personable and friendly. He is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him!!!

Ecstatic with the outcome of my surgery and very happy he grabbed the bull by the horns and made a decision to do Toric lens in my right eye. Shows true concern for his patients and their visual outcome.

My mother had a horrible experience with this doctor. She had cataract surgery that he charged for an upgrade in lens that he did not implant in her eye which was confirmed by the doctor who did her second eye. She went back to him for problems which ended up costing her thousands of dollars.

I have been 100% pleased with the professional and caring treatment that I have received. I have had cataracts removed from both eyes and had laser treatment and I am 100% pleased. I highly recommend St. Michaels Eye and Laser. Dr. Louis was fabulous.
