I've been seeing Dr. Hine for my annual physicals for the past few years and I highly recommend him. He understands my concerns and approach to medicine (I'm likely more into preventative measures than most). With any issues, he clearly explains common causes and how to approach, and suggests external resources as needed. We have great conversation and I don't feel judged by him at all

Always very thorough in explanation and obviously very knowledgeable, but above all else he was very caring. Truly concerned about my overall well being and pointing me in the right direction physician wise if i needed a specialist, just exactly what your PCP should be- methodical

Dr. Hine was condescending and rude. I had been to see another doctor at ARC a few days before, and called to speak with the triage nurse about a new symptom that was concerning (truly weird and worried me). She suggested I come in to see a doctor given that I was having new symptoms and was feeling terrible. I will NEVER see Dr. Hine again. He acted like I was arguing with him even though I wasn't; I did not say anything contrary to him or even ask follow-up questions.

I have recommended Dr. Hine to other family members. I found him to be competent, thoughtful, and attentive. He provided excellent care and follow up and it was easy to reach through the mychart system.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Hine?
I saw Dr. Hine at UT Austin to discuss recurring symptoms that another doctor had suggested were stress-related. Alas, Dr. Hine, didn't seem to listen or care. He didn't look at me while I spoke and seemed focused on his typing. Because he wasn't listening, he didn't understand what I was telling him. The third time he snapped at me I started crying. Then he sat, looking at me finally, and told me I need to figure out what "well" was because I wasn't well. Worst medical experience I've ever had.

I was Googling ARC doctors trying to find a PCP here, and Dr. Hine was the highest rated one out of all the doctors I researched. My 30-40 minute visit with him was great. Aside from being a knowledgeable physician, he appeared to take a genuine interest in what I do, and was extremely non-judgmental regarding some of my questions. As a healthcare professional myself, I know a good doctor when I see one. To that end, I would highly recommend him to literally anyone. Andrew M. Greene, LMSW, LCDC
