Good doctor, but referrals are horrible
I've had Dr. Gringeri for about 30 years but i'm ready to go. He is a good doctor, but trying to get a referral within a week's time is horrible. I've had to reschedule many appts (which are then months out) due to referrals not being done. I've heard 'Aetna is down' 'Aetna won't let us on the system' etc., but knowing the day before an appt that it's not happening is not ok.

Highly recommend.
Have been seeing Dr. Gringeri for 25 plus years. He is thorough, listens to and cares about his patients. His treatment generally starts with a conservative approach to remedy the issue but he doesn't hesitate to recommend specialists if necessary. Finally, I noticed a number of scheduling complaints in the reviews but I believe this was rectified years ago. I seldom wait more than 5 to 10 minutes.

Dr. Gringeri is polite but very often over-prescribes antibiotics. He gave me an antibiotic for a very clearly viral infection. Had to go to a specialty doctor and that doctor was shocked that I was given antibiotics.

I started seeing Dr Gringeri in 2016 for regular physical visits. He screened me for vitamin D deficiency and told me to take vitamin D daily. I moved to Massachusetts, and this April I was infected with COVID. Luckily my symptoms were relatively mild. I credit my mild symptoms to Dr Gringeri catching my deficiency, given the recent data on how vitamin D supplementation can improve prognosis. Dr. Gringeri also has a warm smile and listens to concerns well. I miss you, Dr Gringeri. Thanks for everything you do.

I have treated with Dr. Gringeri since i was a kid and also treated with his other physicians. I can not say anything but good things about all of the doctors on staff. His one receptionist Doris is AMAZING and does not get enough credit for all she does. I saw an earlier review regarding a receptionist that was there a few years back (Tricia) saying she was rude, i actually have gone in multiple times while she worked and she is nothing but helpful and considertate to patients.

Dr. Gringeri offers "old school" care. He is an incredible listener and offer easy to understand explanations with such compassion. He is comprehensive and always looks at the big picture. I hope Dr. Gringeri never retires! When he is in the room with you, you feel like you are the only patient in the office. Highly recommend Dr. Gringeri for your entire family. He has been caring for my own family for many many years and we are so blessed to have such wonderful care.

I have been a patient of Dr. G for almost 30 years. I have always found him to be caring in his manner, good diagnosing my health conditions, and always willing to help find the right specialist when needed. Obviously, I wouldn't have stayed a patient if I didn't find him a good doctor. I'm a 72 year old male in pretty good health and counting on Dr. G to help keep me that way!

We (Mom, Dad, and two teens) recommend Dr. Gringeri to everyone! He is quite simply the best doctor and is an excellent role model for doctors everywhere. He listens attentively to his patients, examines them and then gives his diagnosis which is spot-on each and every visit. So grateful to have such a good doctor, and so close by!

Wait time is consistently over an hour (beyond your appt time). Recently I called in with a pink eye scare (I made the phone call at 11:45 am) gave my symptoms to the receptionist-I asked if anything could be called in for me to pick up after work. Over four hours later I get a call back telling me no and that I can go to their Newtown office which is open until 8pm or to go to Urgent Care. I could've gone to Urgent Care in between the time they took to tell me that they wouldn't help me.

Bad experience, I was looking for a family dr and found his info in my insurance page, on my appointment day I waited more than 1 hr, then Dr Gringeri wasn't in the office instead I was being seen by a nurse (nothing against them) and she was talking by the phone to Dr Gringeri asking lots of basic stuff, I was there to continue a prophylactic treatment that started a health center dr, but she didn't know about it, so I had to look for a real doctor. Don't waste your time in this office.

I needed a pre op exam for a minor procedure. I have been seeing the doctor for 35 years, but he is now taking the position that he does not want to expose himself to any liability and, as such, told me to seek an exam elsewhere. When I questioned the staff (he refused to discuss personally), his reaction was to discharge me from his care. UNBELIEVABLE!

Wait time consistently over an hour last 3 visits. I am now done. I just asked for a record release form and the receptionist was rude (Patricia). She is also calling in Prescriptions within earshot of the entire waiting room (Robin just got a Paxil refill). Love you Angela and DrG but your front office is a train wreck.
