Insensitive and Unsupportive
Louis Costello’s clinic intake requirements do not take into account patient needs or illnesses. The staff at his clinic was unsupportive and have an attitude that they are better than you and you being there is a privilege. He is not there for the patient, just cashing a check. Do not use this Dr or his clinic (Costello Clinic) if you need patient support and understanding.

awful horrible guy
i went to a php called charis a few years ago and he put me on eight medications at the same time, some being benzodiazepines and antipsychotics that i really did not need and only made me worse. he was so rude and invalidating, and i was only 15 at the time. he put me on insane doses of medicines and every other patient there hated him too and he didn't listen to anything anyone told him. overall he was horrendous do not go to him ever it is not worth it he will mess you up permanently

I love it here. I have gone here for years. They have helped me tremendously. If I ever call for something they get back to me right away. They care about me and have great compassion. The front desk ladies are so kind. My PA. Trish. Is always there for me. I can’t say enough about Suzanne who administers TMS. She is always so positive and encouraging. There isn’t a miracle to recover from mental health. It is filled when mountains and valleys. It takes work on the patient end also. They provide great resources to assist you with recovery.

ruined
i have been a patient of dr. costello for 2-3 years at this point. and as someone who has done research and had experience with many different medications, the only conclusion i can come to is that i will never be the same again, and this corrupt clinic/system is to blame.

Uninvolved
Dr. Costello is completely removed from the practice and really only consistently does new patient appointments. He recently told me I needed to take responsibility for getting my insurance to cover more of my treatment, telling me how other psychiatrists were losing massive amounts of money, and how that would cause him to “go under”. Found out 6 weeks later that my treatment has always been fully covered, and I literally have no clue why he would lay the burden of his clinic’s financial performance on my shoulders. Also saw my husband for depression and anxiety, put him on a strong antidepressant and antipsychotic, pushed him over to the TMS coordinator to zap his brain with magnets, and never saw him again. It has been an absolute, devastating nightmare. I have tried and tried to get Dr. Costello to work with me, call me, speak to me, and he is completely disconnected. It’s really sad and scary.

Nothing is easy at the Costello Clinic. It is difficult to get an appt in a timely manner. The dr is very condescending. I wish a better practice would come to that location.

I would never recommend Dr. Costello to anyone! My daughter had a horrible experience there, one the she is still recovering from. The office staff was very rude and lied and belittled me. Dr. Costello and the nurse that met with my daughter never talked to her about the survey they make you take and pay for before you even meet with them. The nurse made my daughter feel even worse about herself, going as far as chuckling at her when she gave certain responses. Never go to Dr. Costello.

Don't waste your money on this clinic. Dr. Costello makes you take a four-hour survey and then brings you into his office to ask the same questions verbatim. He then pawns you off to one of his nurse practitioners who don't talk to you, just type into their laptop and bill you for zero assistance. They told me to file medical bankruptcy and don't me to be quiet every time I tried to talk to him. They also tried to diagnose my 17-year-old as ADHD just to bill my insurance another $1,400.

Dr Costello not Mr Van Hofe truly care about the kids. He is more concerned with himself and his career than the children. As a patient or parent, it is NOT his job to contact you. If he does, he does not have the time to truly go over issues with you. Find someone who cares.
