Dr. Louis Battey Jr, MD

After chest pain and a stress test that showed abnormal results, dr battey advised me against a cardiac cath because of my kidney disease. (“The dye they use can cause further kidney damage”). He told me I was in no immediate danger and to come back in six months for a checkup. Within 2 months of dr battery’s advice, I took myself to the Emergency Room due to continuing chest pain. I was immediately admitted and a cardia cath was done (with no kidney damage resulting) and was told I had five major blockages (all 90% and over. The widow maker was 100% blocked). They immediately did quadruple bypass surgery. I was told that if I had gone into cardiac arrest, there would have been no saving me even with CPR. The ER doctor told me there are ways to protect the kidney during a cath procedure, and was appalled that dr battey would advise as he did and let me go home with no further action. I would never recommend this doctor!

Louis Battey has been my cardiologist for a number of years. He is knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy. Top rating.
