Excellent knowledgeable and caring
Dr Lori has been my endocrinologist for more than 10 years. She's extremely knowledgeable has excellent communication skills explains things clearly and has taken care of my thyroid condition giving me a very healthy life. I believe her ratings should be a lot higher than it is.

Negative Experience
I had high hopes based on reviews of this doctor. That quickly changed during my first, and last, appointment. I communicated the honest feedback below to the office manager at the end of my visit. Pro’s:-professional staff -clean office Con’s:-not collaborative-ignores patient’s goals-poor listener-dismissive-irritable, combative, talks over you, raises voice and “yells at you” for sharing an opposing opinion-potential “God” complex issues -lack of bedside manner -lacks basic customer service and leadership skills-unwilling to customize a health plan based on individual needs and will categorize you based on the general population (ie, you don’t have _____ disease because you don’t look like it). There are exceptions to every rule and no two people are alike -lazy regarding finding test results in paperwork. She will expect you to find it for her when she cannot find it herself (“here, you find it” were her exact words).

Outstanding endocrinologist
I’ve been a patient of Dr Baraz for many years. I needed her expertise when my thyroid was removed and needed medication. She is like a detective monitoring my levels and changing doses of medication. She stayed the course with me and I’ve never felt better. Dr Baraz is knowledgeable, highly professional and always has the time to answer any questions. I feel blessed to have her as my doctor. I highly recommend her.

Really great doctor
Dr Baraz treats my husband fir overactive thyroid. Has never been pushy about any treatment options. Always is willing to do what the patient feels most comfortable with. Rare thing in these days when so many doctors want to just remove the thyroid then keep you on medication for the rest of your life.

She writes the script, and that’s about it. There’s no education or inquiry into how I’m doing. The office manager there is rude and antagonistic.

I have been a patient of Dr. Baraz for over a year. Although obviously a licensed Dr and certified in her specialty I have felt almost from the first visit that she is overwhelmed, rushed and increasingly burnt out. She seems to be impatient when asked questions even about clarifying her medication directions. Her lack of compassion and empathy for my specific issues have led me to question if somehow I have offended her or if she is simply a misanthrope. Her assistant seems to be out of her depth / competence level and her office staff is terrible. Medication orders, refill requests etc are frequently "lost in the shuffle" (forgotten) and its always the pharmacy or someone else's fault. The robotic phone system in the office is extraordinarily difficult to navigate and frequently impossible to use to resolve issues as one doesn't have the ability to speak to a person for something that doesn't fit the script. Looking for another Dr. on my ins plan.
