Excellent Doctor
Dr. Raby is a very personable physician. Outstanding bedside manner. He removed a malignant skin cancer below my eye. I have always found him to be caring and considerate.

NEVER AGAIN!
He recommended month after month after month of return visits with trial therapies or a lets just see how it goes attitude. He finally sent me to his wife across the hall for allergy testing and said we will try one more thing then start long term oral medication. After completing ALL of his recommendations with no improvement, he refused to start the oral meds and states you can come back in for another $co pay visit and he will discuss what options are left or you can find treatment elsewhere......REALLY, you take my money for months and then dismiss me when you can not do your job!!!!

Extremely Busy but Personable Doctor
Takes a long time to get an appointment sometimes. Sometimes months if you don't have a follow-up scheduled at your last appointment. Or if you don't happen to catch a lucky cancellation slot when you call about what you have going on currently. And like the other docs I go to in the past 10 years, sometimes you have to spend way longer in the waiting room than you did the last time or planned for. Bring a book just in case. But once you get in to see him, he's respectful, listens, and he takes time for you during your appointment. In my case, I have an especially rare issue that lots of doctors had not been able to address. And after the first part of my appt, he spent time reading textbooks and researching in his office before coming back to advise next steps and tests (blood, biopsies!) for clarification of the different possible diagnoses. He's very open to questions and stuff like that once he's explained his differential diagnoses and recommendations, too. His nurse was also sweet

I had an issue with, what had been described as dermatitits, for a number of years. I knew that diet and stress had a lot to do with the problem, but its was suggested I schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. I waited a month or so before reaching the appointment time and the onlly person I saw was a nurse followed by a 20 or so second examination by the Dr.. A cream was prescribed along with an order for a skin scrape. The skin scrape didnt happen in the office, but one of the nurses stopped me in the waiting area and did the scrape there. That is what you call professionalism. The cure didn't even approach correcting the problem, so i fired the Dr. Sugar was the culprit all along, in my case, and candida overgrowth was the culprit. An antifungal cream from my primary Dr., plus sugar/carb limited diet was the solution. None even suggested by this Dr.. Fail.

Think before you visit or you'll waste time and mo – Dec 27, 2020

I’m very dissatisfied with the care my mother received from Dr. Lon Raby. He informed her that the type of skin cancer she had grew out, not in and said “absolutely not” to her request for a specialist. Thankfully, she saw a specialist who spent five hours removing this skin cancer from her nose and performing a skin graft because, unlike Dr. Raby’s opinion, this skin cancer grows in- the exact opposite. Had my mother listened to Dr. Raby, she would not have received proper care. She felt as though he wasn’t thorough and she was correct.

Wrong Diagnosis – Jul 26, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Raby Jr?
I saw Dr. Raby in 2018. I waited for over an hour in the lobby. During my full-body check, he took maybe two minutes and quickly dismissed me as being "fine." Fast forward two years and I have developed skin cancer at the age of 39. While I probably had no signs of skin cancer when I met Dr. Raby, his overall attitude towards me, the brevity of the exam, and how easily he dismissed two concerns that I had led me to delay returning to his office. The spot I have recently had diagnosed was diagnosed by another doctor who I was visiting for my son's acne. I don't know how long I may have let the spot sit without seeing a doctor. Dr. Raby did a disservice to me. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Extremely hard to get an appointment when needed. Such as when an unknown skin condition comes up. Had to see the PA and she didn't know what it was. Had an with appointment with my Gen Practice doctor. I heard her outside on a phone call with Dr. Raby office telling them she wanted me send that day that I had edema around the mouth and lips. and that I had already seen the PA and could not get an appointment with Raby for weeks. I was seen by Dr. Raby the next day. He did get me healed
