Dr. Loi Chang-Stroman, MD

On a recent vacation to Kona I wasn't feeling well. I thought it was the flu and the at-home covid test was negative. When I started feeling worse, I visited Urgent Care of Kona. I was able to see Dr. Stroman within an hour of calling. He showed caring and concern. He communicated well and conducted a proper examination. Within two hours from the visit, Dr. Stroman determined that I did indeed have Covid. He was quick guide me though the current restrictions and gave me a prescription mindful of the other mediations I was taking. And here's the kicker, when I had follow-up questions I called the office thinking I would have to speak through a nurse. No, he got on the phone! I've never had a doctor do that. While I only met him once, my sense is he is a good guy. I was completely satisfied and would return to him again if I ever have the occasion to return to Hawaii.

Dr. Chang - Stromans and his staff were very professional and on time. I was visiting from Texas and the experiences was exceptional. The Dr diagnosed my problem and I feel better.

Dr. Stroman, Was extremely thorough in both his diagnosis and follow through with my stomach issues. Turns out that I have diverticulitis and severe Gerd. He called for the exact tests needed and his bedside manner was exemplary. He explained everything very clearly so that I fully understood him. Highly recommend this doctor.

Today we went to Dr. Chang-Stroman. Although we are vacationers from Germany, we were helped very quickly and easily. He and his employees were very friendly. Thanks for the good and fast help.

We had an emergency during our vacation and visited his clinic. Dr. Stroman provided timely and informative care for our situation. We highly recommend him to others!

Try getting this doctor on the phone, good luck, there is a wall of receptionists that will keep you on hold until you give up trying to talk to the doctor...

Excellent Treatment in a very timely manner. I was tested for COVID and a secondary sinus infection. Dr. Stroman’s staff got me in to see him very quickly and the test results came back within 1 hour. Dr. Prescribed the exact antiviral and antibiotic medicine to clear up both infections for me. Very efficient staff, testing and doctor. The clinic was extremely clean and I was given clear instructions as to my after care. Total time there was less than 45 minutes and the results were emailed shortly after I left. I highly recommend Urgent Care Of Kona if you need immediate care and quick results.

Dr. Stroman, the owner of Kona Urgent Care, just yelled at me and threatened to publicize my personal information if I left a negative review of his facility. This is the sort of "care" you will receive from this "healthcare professional". If integrity, professionalism, and compliance with laws and ethical obligations are the bare minimum that you expect out of a healthcare practice, then please see someone--anyone--else.

Dr. Loyd Chang-Stroman is an excellent physician. Professional, knowledgeable w care for his patients. Kona needs more providers like him. I’d recommended him to any of my family members and friends. Let’s support him and Kona Urgent Care. As support to our community we need quality healthcare and they are an example of care done right.

The staff and doctors have been so helpful and accommodating. If your sick and can’t make it in they will do a tele/video visit. They will screen your call and let you know which is the best option for you, and will even call in your prescription for you. So much faster than thee other urgent cares and my pcp, and they take most insurances. Highly recommend them.

Dr. Stroman is very trustworthy and knowledgeable. I always receive excellent care from Urgent Care of Kona and Dr. Stroman. Would highly recommend!
