Dr. Liza Shirani, MD

My husband was having Right hip replacement as an out patient on May 1st. He has a spinal cord stimulator since 2018. His surgeon normally does the procedure with a spinal block. My husband had the same surgeon in 2021 when he had left hip replacement. Had a spinal with no issues but a different Anesthesiologist. Dr. Shirani was the Anesthesiologist with his Right hip.She refused to do the spinal because of his spinal cord stimulator and said his x-rays were to old. The surgeon wanted her to get X-rays ordered STAT. She refused and did general anesthesia against his wishes. My husband woke up from surgery screaming in pain. When he was asked his level from 1-10 he said 90. He also saw the Anesthesiologist standing in the recovery room and she just walk by him. She had no compassion and does not seem to realize or care that her patient is a human being.My husband needed to spend the night in the hospital because they could not control his pain. Recovery is awful
