Dr. Lixana Vega Vega, MD

My Gastroenterologist sent my medical information to Dr. Vega for a surgical referral. I did not receive any call from this office. Exactly 7 days later I called to see if the referral and the ultrasound results were received and the person on the phone said Dr. Vega no longer handles gallbladder cases, only breast tissue. This is a time-sensitive condition and now resolution is delayed another week because of complete and utter incompetence.Nice to know a doctor's office couldn't care less about patients to call and clarify, confirm, or anything at all. Or is extremely lazy or inept. Either way, I wouldn't see this doctor if my life depended on it. No trust at all.

Surgery was successful with no complications. Dr. Vega explained all of the risks very well and answered any questions I had for her. On surgery day she assured me everything would go well and her confidence eased my anxiety. The incisions were very small, healed well, and she gave good post-op instructions. I would highly recommend Dr Vega if you are looking for a surgeon.

Dr. Vega performed bilateral inguinal hernia surgery on me recently. She is very responsive and knowledgeable. She is patient and has excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend her.

Dr Vega Vega removed my gall bladder but did not fully explain the difficulties I would encounter living without a gall bladder. I have diarrhea all the time, I can't eat without immediately having a bowel movement. If I fast, I get sick. Although gallbladder removal is a routine procedure, not every person is the same. She should have given me more information about living without a gall bladder so that I could have made a more informed decision.

Dr. Vega Vega was absolutely wonderful! My wife saw her for an emergency gall bladder surgery,and she was totally professional and genuinely caring. She was sure we knew everything that was going to happen, followed up after the surgery,and took very good care of my wife. She also saw us for a quick followup since we are from out of state. She is probably the most caring and compassionate doctor I have ever been in contaact with. Very highly recommend her services!

I was beyond impressed with Dr. Vega Vega's compassion and skills before, during, and after my procedure. She proved she genuinely cared about my well being! My pain was controlled to my satisfaction. Her office staff was very friendly and performed in a timely manner. They even gave me a follow up call a few days later to see how I was doing. I highly recommend Dr. Vega Vega for your surgical needs!

Had an umbilical hernia repaired and Dr. Vega was awesome. She was patient in explaining the risks as well as very knowledgeable and informative. Her bedside manner is wonderful. I felt very comfortable and am very happy I went to her for my procedure. Would definitely recommend.
