My daughter is a preemie. Dr. Torres told me she wasn’t too familiar with preemies. Only reason I picked her was because she spoke Spanish. Anyway, she admitted my daughter to the hospital because she was “breathing funny”. I explained to her that my daughter had baseline retractions and her breathing was fine. I had to contact the doctor that took care of my daughter in the NICU to come down to the peds unit to explain that my daughter was fine and was admitted unnecessarily and that in fact Lisa Torres put her more at risk by admitting her. So no, I would not recommend her. She doesn’t like being told she is wrong and that we obtained a second opinion. That was the first and only time she touched my daughter. I transferred her care to a more knowledgeable and responsible pediatrician.

She really cares for her patients well being. She's also a great listener and pays a lot of attention to detail when trying to find out what's wrong with me. She was very quick to give me feedback on my lab results the day after I had them done (Sunday). She also spent a good amount of time with me on my visit. I'm so happy to have found her and be my primary care physician. 100% recommended.
