Dr. Lisa Schwebach, MD

I’ve seen this provider twice and in our first visit I thought she was wonderful. However, during my most recent visit she seemed irritated by my questions and barely took the time to help me learn. She was oddly aggressive and dismissive all while twirling her hair. I left feeling hopeless about my issue and unsure if I will see her again. The appointment felt extremely rushed and she spent maybe 5 minutes with me. I didn’t even bother trying to get in my last two questions because I knew she would respond in a way that made me feel bad.

Dr. Schwebach is a compassionate, knowledgeable obgyn and I feel lucky to have found her and her amazing colleagues at Midtown. She helped me through both pregnancies and delivered my last child. Her colleagues delivered my first child and assisted with the second in the early hours. She always listened and responded to my concerns in a meaningful way. I highly recommend Lisa and her team for any obgyn needs!

Was told by this doctor I didn’t need my yearly pap even though I had abnormalities and my insurance was covering it. She said I only needed one every 3-5 years. I had to plead my case to get it done only after being rushed and what felt like judged for going against her opinion. My results came back abnormal and I was told I needed to be seen right away to ensure I “didn’t fall through the cracks.” Had I listened to Dr. Schwebach I would have been sitting on this abnormality for at least 3 years undetected. Every patient should have a doctor who listens to concerns and wants to advocate for that patient. No one should feel wrong or badly for wanting something completed to ensure he or she has the best health possible.

She is listed on the blue cross the blue shield website as an in-network provider. When I called to make an appointment someone from kaiser permanente said that she doesn’t take my insurance. It’s extremely frustrating to have doctors who are giving incorrect information regarding insurance. I asked to speak to someone else else and they refused to give me any more information

Dr. Schwebach delivered my one and only baby and made it such a great experience for me. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who can see her to see her!

Dr. Schwebach is easily approachable, knowledgeable, and thorough. She took excellent care with me during my pregnancies and I cannot recommend her enough!

I delivered our second with Dr. Schwebach. She is personable, cool under pressure, intelligent, and downright nice. Every time I see her, it's like catching up with an old friend - what a doctor visit should be like. She takes her time and asks if you have any questions, and then answers them.

She is the best!

Dr. Schwebach is the most caring and thoughtful doctor I've ever had. She listens and is sympathetic, and knows what she's talking about. She makes contact re urgent issues quickly and is by far the best OB/GYN (and just doctor in general) that I've ever had. If only all doctors could be like this!
