very condescending
We saw Dr. Morikado in the emergency dept, my father has broken english and has a difficult time communicating some words. When being asked what brought him in by Dr. Morikado he was unable to get the words out so i helped to describe the situation and she did not like that very much. When asking my father if he was taking a medication she used the rx name which he did not understand and continued by saying 'I'm taking something for my blood pressure' she continues and said ' i know what it is I went to medical school.' We really didn't appreciate that, by no means was my father undermining her education he just does not know medications by their technical name. It made my father feel awful, thankfully he was able to get discharged. I just believe bed side manner is very important, I'm glad there are good reviews but our experience with Dr. Morikado was far from that. She should consider that not everyone has a medical degree and are able to understand all the technical names.

Dr. Lisa Morikado provided excellent emergency care during my 2 hour stay in ER on 7-26-2022. She sat near my gurney (rather than stand over me, looking down at me, which can be intimidating), listened attentively to my concerns, spoke in a calm and supportive manner, and explained things in a user-friendly way. I appreciated her pleasant interactive style, clear communication, and occasional use of humor which eased my anxiety. It's clear that she is an expert diagnostician, as she quickly assessed my condition and formulated a treatment plan. It was actually a positive experience, a pleasantly positive experience.

My experience with Dr. Morikado was overwhelmingly negative. In a nutshell she was callous and dismissive. I left the ER will little to no help, still in pain, with no diagnosis. Maybe my insurance wasn't good enough for her to care about doing her job.

Dr. Morikado provided care for my father yesterday in the ER. She was very thorough and thoughtful about keeping us informed. We appreciated her clear communication and congenial personality. She made us feel at ease in her care and we just want her to know how much we appreciate it.
