Dr. Lisa McLeod, DO

I wanted to wait several months before leaving a review because I didn't want this to be an angry in-the-moment type of review. Dr. McLeod was our doctor(for our third child) at the Northside Cherokee hospital. I am not surprised to see half of her reviews are 1-star ratings. Not only was she impatient and rude to my wife but also to her staff. We explained to McLeod that once my wife's water broke, she would likely have the baby within the next 1-2 hours because that has been her experience with our first two. McLeod reluctantly broke my wife's water with a sense of bored arrogance and warned my wife that it would be a 'long night' of waiting. Yeah, the baby came within the hour. When McLeod returned to deliver the baby, she rushed in and seemed so unprepared. She was visibly stressed and almost forgot to put on gloves. Holding my wife, she barked at the nurses to get her gloves I never considered being selective with our maternity DR, but will be moving forward after our experience.

Dr. McLeod is capable of building decent rapport with her clients... and I liked her as my doctor for 3 years. Then on my last visit, I heard her complaining about me in the hallway. In that visit, I raised some concerns I had with my hormone replacement and she displayed her lack of knowledge about side effects. I feel doctors should stay abreast of current research and be well aware of recent developments regarding all pharmaceuticals. I will not be using this doctor in the future.

I went to Dr McLeod hoping to find a solution to my infertility and I had also been having some superficial problems. She was extremely rude and did not listen to anything I had to say. She insisted that I had a condition that I was sure I did not have. She argued with me and gave me a blank stare when I tried to explain. I would never let this lady come anywhere near me if I were pregnant.

I was 1 month premature and gave birth in New York instead of my scheduled Aspen, Colorado.She treated me with better care than my own )BGYN back home .

She has recently joined cherokee women's health group and I am glad that she has become a part of the practice. She's very thorough, patient, and very knowledgeable. Not only did she meet my expectations medically, she also met my expectation at a personal level. She's very professional and Address all my medical needs. Great doctor-patient report!

Dr. McLeod has poor bedside manner and after reading the previous reviews, I can see it’s been an ongoing issue for years. In short, she was negligent and almost brought harm to my unborn son and to me by arrogantly changing my diagnosis that was given by a more experienced doctor. I hope and pray someone sees this and it is the one thing that pushes them not to see her. I am making it my personal mission to spread the message so she does not harm anyones child. And by the way, when she found out she was wrong, no she did not apologize until a YEAR later after I left her a poor review and her management probably forced her. She’s arrogant and should honestly not be anywhere near pregnant women or children.

Amazing Doc. Tended to all my needs. Really disappointed she moved away.

She really took the time to explain my conditions and I never felt like she judged me. She is a good listener and seems very knowledgable and respectful.

Dr Mcleod has been an amazing OB to my wife. As the non-gestational parents it is often hard to feel included however she made sure my wife and I both understood every stages of pregnancy. She provided excellent care during and after my wife pregnancy. Dr Mcleod was always available to answer any of our questions and concerns. She is fantastic!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lisa Mcleod for over a year and I couldn’t be more happier with her as my OBGYN. Not only has she been amazing at addressing some of my concerns but she has also taken the time to explain thoroughly to me my condition, any risks, side effects of medications. As someone studying to enter the medical field I appreciate how thorough and patient Dr. Mcleod is as a doctor. I have recommended her to family and friend as a result of the fantastic care she continues to provide me.

I have been a patient of Dr. McLeod since the middle July 2018. During that time, I have been under Dr. McLeod’s care for a Myomectomy , Twin Gestational pregnancy, Twin Delivery and Postpartum care. I couldn’t be more thankful for having had the opportunity to meet Dr. McLeod in 2018, her plan of care to treat my dysfunctional bleeding, my polyps and fibroid is the reason why I am able to be a mom today. She listened to my concerns and provided me with the best course of treatment to ensure I would be able to one day be mom. Dr McLeod ensured I was educated about my treatment plan at all time and that my concerns were heard and addressed. She is a fantastic Doctor who care about her patient’s well being from a holistic approach. She is very knowledgeable about her field and treats patients with compassion, understanding and care. I would absolutely continue to recommend Dr McLeod to family and friends.

One star is even much... she wasnt warm or welcoming, she made me feel like an unwanted patient, she prescribe me forms of birthcontrol not compatible with breastfeeding even though i told her many many times i was breastfeeding... she was very rough during a csection & then just acted like it was me who was just not dealing with my pain- this was my 2nd cs & after my first (with diff dr) i was dealing with my pain just fine even the day after... i wouldnt recommend her to anyone!

As a new patient to the area & medical professional myself, I thought I would be in good hands scheduling with a provider at NYPMG; I was quickly corrected. Dr. McLeod was completely uninterested in my appointment. She did not introduce herself or even shake my hand. She was rude, cold, dismissive and spoke to you in a demeaning tone. I left the office feeling stupid & will never return. If I could give less than 1 Star I would.

Md McLeod delivered my son. If I could put more than 5 stars I would. She was so caring and attentive to my needs, my sons needs and my families needs. She stayed past her shift to deliver my son when the next doctor on shift stated to her if I was still there when she got in she was going to give me a C Section. I was already 10 centimeters and that doctor didn’t seem to care. MD McLeod stayed past her shift to deliver my son just for this reason. Fir this I will be forever grateful. ??

I don't understand the negative comments on this site. I really like her and feel very well cared for.

First of all, this whole office is not accommodating at all. There are no late appointments, at least for me there weren't. I came in pregnant with my second child, and having had pre-eclampsia before I had many questions. Dr. McLeod wasn't super friendly to begin with and she made me feel stupid when I asked my questions. She chuckled at my questions... I didn't appreciate that at all. Needless to say, I changed practices.

Dr. McLeod was perhaps the worst ob visit I have ever encountered. She was rude, disrespectful and dismissive. She did not focus on any o my wife’s needs or assisting her in her quality of her pregnancy. I would never recommend her as a doctor or anyone to provide a proper service. If she is given to you as an OB I suggest you switch immediately . The Medical field is not her calling . She should quit and find a new profession.
