One of the Best in Texas!
I saw Dr. Kopas a few years ago. I was told by my local pulmonologist that I had stage 4 emphysema, which did not seem correct to me. I decided to find a top-of-the-line pulmonologist, and came up with the name of Lisa Kopas, who demonstrated that she deserved her excellent reputation. Dr. Kopas informed me that I had chronic bronchitis, not emphysema and could control the condition with proper medication. With recent developments, I feel it is time for me to see Dr. Kopas again. I have every expectation that, as before, she will provide me with up-to-date information and recommend a proper course of treatment.

well let me just say I agree with another review, Dr Lisa kopas is rude per say, and yes if you try to understand the test results and why etc, she is condescending and and will ignore you.. we belong to Follow My health portal and once we started asking questions regarding certain things, she immediately took our test results down and will not show them when it's our right..when we asked her about this no answer, just a short rude reply..we are changing doctors and please if you go this facility ask for another doctor...

Our experience with Dr. Kopas was at CHI-St. Luke’s Hospital in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. In spite of all the impressive education, professional credentials and experience Dr. Kopas possesses, she lacks compassion, grace, mercy and general politeness. If you dare ask a question or try to further understand the situation, prepare to be insulted, condescended to, and/or ignored. This behavior was not limited to a single episode. Dr. Kopas displayed this behavior each visit in a series of visits during a multi-week hospital stay.

Dr, Kopas is articulate, caring, talented and a wonderful doctor. She is so good that it's very hard to book appointments. Have to book 4-6 weeks in advance, which is difficult for asthmatic patients sometimes. I wish there were more open appointments available.

I have seen Dr Kopas twice. I absolutely LOVE her! She is very easy to talk to and is genuinely concerned about her patients. I'm having ongoing issues and she even presented my case at a conference to other doctors! They all recommended what she had already said was best plan of care. Absolutely would recommend! Another major plus is office staff is very friendly too:)

I was recommended to her by a friend and I am overwhelmingly pleased. Her bedside manners are the best. She takes the time to allow you to explain your symptom's and interject as needed. She thoroughly explain the symptoms you face and offers solutions and why. I've battled sarcoidosis for a long period of time and finally feel confident this will be my last stop. Thank you Doc.

As a patient with severe COPD, I naturally have a lot of concerns, although the disease is incureable, there is no reason to not try to live a good life . Dr. Kopas has helped me to do that. I never feel hopeless, as I sometimes did before. She has laid out a plan of treatment for me, I do my best to follow it and it works pretty well. When I have questions, she answers them honestly. I have always been well treated by all the staff, they are very helpful also

I cannot believe anyone would give this "doctor" anything positive review. She participated in an FDA lung coil study, I never, went alone or I would record her. She gave me time in actual exam room a few times. There she dodged questions and was extremely rude. If i was not in study i would have pretty much told her to shove it. Bottom line is she pretty much told me that all their patients , following protocol did well. I now need lung transplant and O2 allways. I walked and cleaned before

Four years ago, my husband was admitted to St. Luke ER with high fever, it is Dr. Kopas correctly diagnosed his lung problem and was healed with accurate medication. A month ago, she told my husband that his lung is healed well but his heart need immediate attention. She arranged cardiologist to see my husband immediately and my husband told her: you have saved my life again. Dr. Kopas is the best lung doctor in Houston with caring and excellent bed side manners.
