Dr. Lisa Gonsalves, MD

I have been a patient of Dr.Gonsalves for 15 yrs. She is a very good dr & always thinking of her patients health. I have just moved from Ormond Beach,Florida to Freehold,New York to be with my family . I will miss her & her staff they are all very good & always treated me like family. When my husband & son passed away she was there for me & I will never forget her or the staff. Karen is a very good Nurse & I Love them both very much . I will miss our Christmas get together with them. Want to Thank You Dr. Gonsalves & Karen for taken me under your wings to make sure I was ok during my hard times . I’ve been going to Lisa Gonsalves for over 20 years. I no longer live locally, and the drive is over an hour each not including traffic. I’ve been in healthcare for over 35 years, and I’ve yet to find a more qualified physician. She is prompt, she returns emails quickly, she is extremely accommodating, and she completes a thorough exam, even after all of this time. I brought my elderly father here from another state, and of course provided the necessary medical records. He has dementia, and she takes her time with him. She explains everything to him, and provides patient centered care. It’s amazing to see. I’ve seen other physicians with him, and they talked to me and not him. He actually looks forward to going for his visits. Lisa also follows all of the new medications, and she’s a plethora of wisdom when it comes to explaining dosage, and new drugs. I Wish we could give her 10 stars. If she’s your doctor, count yourself lucky. Oh and her sidekick Karen, the nurse is the best!

I have been to many doctors and specialists over the years. None of them come close to the care, compassion, expertise and professionalism exhibited br Dr. Gonsalves. This ultimately flows over to her staff and it's always a pleasure to interact with all of them.

Dr. Gonsalves and her staff are competent, compassionate and available when I need them. She limits the size of her practice so she can devote her time to her clients, She is very personable, and involves me in my healthcare decisions and planning.

If you need a family doctor, do not try Dr Gonsalves. I moved to Daytona 7 years ago and hadn't seen a doctor yet, so I tried to get an appointment, the receptionist said that Dr. Gonsalves needed records from a previous doctor here in Florida. After explaining I hadn't been to a doctor since moving here, I was told she would not see me then. How ridiculous!!!!

This doctor is a down to earth, intelligent, caring and compassionate person. I have been her patient for a long time and she's a wonderful person as well as a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Gonsalves accurately diagnosed my condition and I was able to get prompt treatment with a full recovery. Thanks a million, Lee
