Irresponsible, disorganized
South Bay Podiatry is unprofessional, disorganized practice with no compassion and care for patients. We showed up for our appointment, door was locked. The front desk opened the door saying appointment was cancelled, and claiming with an attitude left us voicemail on cellphone with No missed call or voicemail from that practice!!!! Where in the world they cancel your appointment without letting you know. I never go back to such place as I can not trust irresponsible medical practice. Have a nice long weekend by cancelling Friday appointments with no notice.

I was referred to Dr. Chu in June by the hospital ER for a foot fracture. It was a Jones fracture which can take a long time to heal. I had surgery with a plate and screws put in. She did a great job and now I'm walking with no pain. I had no problems with the appointments.

PLESE DO NOT have Dr. Chu do any type of surgery on you! She didn't have the skills to do the level of surgery I needed on my foot. Following the two surgeries she did on my foot she boasted about her work, even after I questioned her reasoning for doing some of the things she did. I left four messages with her office complaining about severe neuro pain and she never got back to me. I am now having to go to a specialist at Cedars that deals only with the worst of cases to completely rebuild my foot! I should have seen a big red flag when I noticed her always wearing four inch heels! Run from this doctor!

I was hospitalized last year with an infected toe and saw Dr. Chu. She did a great job with my surgery and healing after I left the hospital. I had a second foot infection with an ulcer on my other foot last month. I saw her in her office right away and the infection is cleared up and the foot ulcer is almost healed. I thought she was very thorough in my treatment and spent time going over my diabetes and its affect on my feet. The office staff was also pleasant.

Please beware when choosing this doctor. She diagnosed me with multiple stress fractures in my foot which I found out later I didn't have any fractures. She can't read x-rays. She put me in a boot and despite me complaining the boot was making me worse she kept me in the boot and had her office staff start wrapping my foot as well. Long story short, she misdiagnosed me, made my condition worse, and cost me valuable time. She doesn't return phone calls voluntarily. Uncaring dr. with huge ego
