Dr. Lisa Abbott, MD

Dr. Abbott was ok until she decided to refer me to a surgeon to have my perfectly functioning thyroid removed to “spare” me from occasional FNA biopsies. She gave me the impression that she wanted to make money off of this referral and did NOT have my best interest at heart. Then when a new endo related problem arose, she coldly refused to take care of it. So I kicked her to the curb and found a new dr at Renown Endocrinology.I also would like to mention that her office staff is super rude!

Dr. Abbott is simply the best in Reno.

Dr. Abbott is a very thorough doctor. She is professional, has no problem answering any concerns or questions you might have. You never feel like your rushed during your appointment, she takes the time and cares. The office staff is always professional, polite and very helpful. I always recommend Dr.Abbott and wouldn’t go to anyone else.

I talked with the receptionist and was given an appointment, Doctor Abbott listened to my concerns and had me go in for a blood test. After the blood test she knew what needed to be done and ordered a prescription for me. Her office called me after I had been on the prescription for a week to see how I was doing and if I had any issues. They had me do another blood test in 3 months to ensure that I was on the correct dose. I am very happy with the results and feel very good. My thyroid is working well with the prescription given to me.

Been seeing Dr. Abbott for 15 + years now and I wouldn't go to any other Reno Dr. for thyroid issues. Experienced HORRIBLE treatment and attitude from 2 other physicians in Reno post thyroid cancer who both were recommended by other patients and covered on my insurance plan. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE physicians, staff and overall treatment from both offices. Both physicians could have cared less about the patient or treatment plan(s) they offered and if you questioned their protocol they told you you would be fired as their patient....WOW, no say so in your personal care and treatment! The first few years I paid out of pocket as my insurance plan did not cover Dr. Abbott's care, but it was worth it to obtain the best medical treatment from a Doctor who cares and knows her treatment plans. Dr. Abbott has been totally worth having as my Endocinologist!

Excellent. I have been with Dr. Abbott for years. When she has med students do evaluations, she's always aware and checks their conclusions. She listens and is both businesslike and caring. Highly recommended!

Just lazy. Nice doctor but when you start going over your problems she says maybe your body likes being like that. That's when I had to change doctors and he found the issue on the first visit!

She has helped my mom, me and my daughter. If fact she found my daughters problem when doctors at Stanford couldn't. I would highly recommend her.

I've been a type one diabetic for 63 years, and have been seeing Dr. Abbott since the late 1990's. My experience having had dealings with other diabetic specialists I can say that Dr. Abbott and her staff are the best.
