Trust the bad reviews. She’s rude, judgmental, gives information based not on science but on personal bias, is physically rough, and just generally makes for a very unpleasant appointment. All while the patient is naked. Quite lovely. I know there’s a doctor shortage, but I’m going elsewhere and would urge you to as well.

Dr. Purdue was mean and also misdiagnosed my babies weight and told me she was weighing in way too small and wouldn’t give me any other information. I was scared and upset and she walked out of the room and didn’t care at all! I switched doctors right away and was so happy. Please take my advise and do not see her.

I can't understand these bad reviews. It's like they are talking about another person. Legit best doctor I have. Caught my moms cancer early and she's still here 20 years later

The nurse was quite nice to me—I think I seemed uncomfortable (because I was) due to my own anxiety and also rudeness in the office from secretarial workers. Dr. Purdue was uncaring and curt, and shamed me for my birth control method. Also was pretty rough and I was physically uncomfortable. Made my anxiety surrounding gynecological care heighten even more since then.

Dr. Purdue was one of the only doctors in the office who took my infertility questions seriously, while others just told me "you are fine" and "wait over a year" she decided to do a bunch of blood work right away to see if there are any issues. She is very proactive!

Dr Purdue walked into the room without knocking, had very poor bedside manners, and did not put effort into ensuring my comfort. She did not explain most procedures before performing them nor provide much education about them

Dr. Luisi-Purdue delivered my daughter nearly nineteen years ago. She has been nothing but an absolutely excellent practitioner in the years since. Take these ridiculously negative reviews with a grain of salt.

I'm stunned to read these reviews. I've been going to Dr. Purdue for 8 years. She is excellent. She is kind, professional, caring and very dignified. I don't know who these people are talking about but it isn't the same doctor I've been seeing. I had an appointment this morning and it was lovely to see her. I highly recommend her. The office staff in Verona and West Orange are very kind and professional also. I've been to both offices. I usually go to Verona. Today I went to West Orange. I was almost 10 minutes late and a little embarrassed. The woman at the desk could not have been nicer.

I went to see Dr. Luisi-Purdue in 2018 when my normal OBGYN couldn’t take me. it was my first visit with her so I was a bit nervous and as a young woman, I was still getting used to these routine check ups. Dr.LuisiPurdue was not as friendly and, I don’t know if was just because she had a bad day or what not, her bedside manner was very crass and inappropriate. I felt disregarded and shocked after my visit with her based on what she said to me. before she started my examination I was tense and she made a remark to me saying ‘don’t act like you’ve never had anything up there before’ and it was absolutely insane someone would say that to me. the examination followed on to be quick and I left as soon as I could.

I came on this website just to confirm the address of Dr. Luisi-Purdue's West Orange office because I usually go to the Verona location. When I saw the negative reviews (and I am being completely honest), I was totally in disbelief. I have been going to her for years and I actually look forward to seeing her because she is so professional and always takes time to explain things to me. She is thorough, she is smart and she makes these appointments less painful because of her kindness. She actually took the time to look at an inflammation I had on my eyelid and she didn't have to do that, that is just who she is. I am confident that any negative reviews for this wonderful doctor had to come from someone demanding, obnoxious or very needy. This is a professional doctor who treats everyone who is worthy of respect with much caring and respect. If in doubt, go yourself and find out. I couldn't be happier with my choice in a doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Purdue for over 20 years and she delivered 2 of my 3 children. She is a great doctor and her bedside manner is understated but completely empathetic. I don’t what these complaints are talking about. I will agree that it is very difficult to get an appt and that is not just with Dr Purdue but everyone in the practice who is still a practicing OB - that has more to do with them being forced to joint Summit Meducal Group than anything else. But i highly recommend her as a doct

Dr Luisi Purdue is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. She is always timely, approachable, never rushes and makes you feel like you are the only patient she is seeing that day. She is very approachable understanding has excellent follow though and very empathetic. Although the practice is busy Dr Purdue always honors her commitments and calls back with results and discussions of treatment even after hours. She is true professional and after practicing for so many years you would never know!

By far the worst doctor and worst experience I have ever had before. Dr. Purdue was unprofessional, made me feel uncomfortable and was flat out just awful!

Believe every negative review that is written here and more. Dr. Purdue was just plain awful. Everything about her from her bedside manner, to her curt demeanor, her lack of empathy, her office staff, her lack of care and her knowledge as a physician. I have since been to another OB and I am so happy so there is so much better out there. As others have so eloquently put it STAY AWAY!!!!

Saw Dr. Purdue several times during my pregnancy (as well as Dr. Crane, Dr. DeGraff, and once, Dr. Russo) and she was always informative, caring, and thorough. Dr. Purdue always answered all my questions with detailed, clear explanations. Most importantly, she safely delivered my baby, who was large and stuck. While I know it's her job, I will be forever grateful to her and her expertise. The care I received during pregnancy and delivery helped ensure the health of me and my baby.

Scheduling of appts is terrible. I've been trying to get an appt since Dec there is nothing available and the schedule for upcoming months is not available. I called again at the beginning and end of Feb and schedule was not available again and no open slots. I called today 3/2 and they have no appts through May but can't tell me for June because the schedule is not open yet. When I call back in a few days June and July will be booked. I've had this ongoing issue since June of 2015. Horrible!
