Dr. Linda Balogh, MD

She has always been the best; most understanding and caring dr. She tells me what I need to hear,not always what I want to hear. Have had her as my PCP for 20 years. She went out of her way to find out what caused my daughters illness after traveling abroad. Got her the meds needed and my daughter is now a practicing physician also. She always gives me referrals quickly and answers all my questions. Best Doctor.

I've seen her for many years. She was always one to listen, which is rare to find in a dr. However, in the last few years, she's totally changed. I don't contact much, but when I've asked for bloodwork or basic testing, I was flatly denied or referred elsewhere. I was incredibly sick & called multiple times to see her. I was told I needed to see a specialist. Unfortunately the wait for the specialist was 2 months, and I was so ill I could hardly function. I requested some basic bloodwork to rule out anything obvious while I waited, to at least get the ball rolling. She refused, did nothing. Once I finally saw the specialist he was floored that she had let me go that long & hadn't done a thing for me. Then, much later, I called and asked for a simple blood test. She refused to do that too. Appointments w/ her are also extremely difficult to get due to her schedule. I'm now looking for a new doctor, which makes me sad-because I've always seen her and she was always great..not anymore.

She user to care, but now she is slack with my care.

I like her. Decent, matter of fact, a bit of dry wit, and good with my kids. She listens to me - not dismissive. Probably thr best MD at CHC.

I’ve seen Dr Balogh for over a decade; I moved further away from her practice, but still come back to see her. There is a trusted partnership that would be hard to replace. She’s thorough, knowledgable, and compassionate. Once I had a condition that was somewhat obscure; she dug in and was relentless to find the answer. Like the other writer, I’ve had weight issues, but her referrals to the UM clinic for pre-diabetes education was the trick - I lost 40 pounds and eliminated the need for BP meds!

Never in my life have a I felt so offended by a physician. Lectured me after refusing the Gardasil shot. Would love to know what she has to say about the reactions being released about the shot now. I've struggled with my weight my entire life, and she was so degrading and discouraging. Made me feel awful about myself. Left the room in tears. I love U of M health care but this was an awful experience.
