No Nonsense Professional Who Knows Her Stuff
June 11, 2023. This is a 5 star review. During the past several years, my wife and I have seen Dr. Love for hearing issues and in my case some concerns about swallowing and nasal drainage also. In every instance we have been treated professionally. The doctor is polite, listens to what we have to say ,and offers helpful advice. I have looked through some of the earlier reviews, and I'm puzzled by them. Yes, she gets right to the point, no small talk which suits us because we see her for our medical needs, not therapy. If she seems busy and sometimes rushed, well she is. Remember, this is Santa Fe and good doctors are in short supply. The pandemic taught us this. When I went for my first appointment, I read the reviews. One of them faulted her for messy hair and odd clothing. Well, I’m betting she was in her scrubs fresh from a surgical procedure at Christus. Give me a break. I’ll take a hands-on doctor any day!

Efficient and effective
My interaction was Dr Love was of a high caliber. Not only did she ask clear and concise questions, she was detail oriented in her explanation of my conditions and next steps to address them. I was overall extremely pleased with my experience with the entire team at Christus St Vincent ENT Dept. From accommodating my need for a quick appt to the reception, audiologist and exit team. A sharp and personable approach. I highly recommend.

Poor Care
I was scheduled with this provider to review a MRI result, when I saw her she told me she never saw my results. As this was the reason for my visit she deflected and asked me about other issues and I told her I had an appointment with another provider, she continued questioning me, on the computer the entire time. She only examined my neck but charted ahe did a complete exam. Unprofessional and inappropriate charting.

Very pleased
I am one year post op from a septorhinoplasty (deviated septum and cosmetic correction). I had a very positive experience, start to finish. After my first consultation I went through a few months of allergy treatment to get my symptoms a little more under control before I got the procedure. It allowed me time to consider the cosmetic aspect of my surgery. We had a few different appointments to discuss desired outcomes. I’m very grateful that I was never pressured into scheduling and that nothing was rushed. I really appreciate Dr. Love’s work as it is not heavy handed and has healed beautifully and naturally. I can breathe a lot more easily and I’m so much more comfortable with my appearance.

Can’t I give no stars?!?
Awful! Dismissive and rude. Unprofessional and uncaring. Perhaps she’s good in the operating room but has zero people skills or bedside manner! No idea how she stays in business!! I would rather suffer than have her touch me or be in her presence!

Horrible experience
I took my husband here and we will not be returning. We were referred to another doctor at this clinic, but this one had earlier availability. This lady is rude, dismissive and unprofessional. We left there feeling like she didn't care about my husband's issues and we literally talked about it the whole ride home. We have been Christie's patients for many years and this is the first time we have felt this way.

I never even saw this Dr. After a long wait to get the appointment, I went in as instructed 15 minutes before my appointment. After waiting for 45 minutes I asked at reception if it would be much longer. They said she was running "a little behind" and I should reschedule my appointment. It would have been nice to have been told that within the first 20 minutes of waiting. After reading all of her horrifying reviews I did not reschedule.

As a fellow physician, I understand what qualities make an excellent physician. It takes extraordinarily little effort to show that you are compassionate, caring and sincerely have a genuine interest in the patient that is sitting in front of you. Dr Love is lacking in those qualities. The visit was rushed, and Dr Love was not at all interested in a partnership of ideas. She was only interested in a very narrow and one-sided decision process. I found her to be curt and little effort was shown to help find an answer to the problem. I was told that I would do best to follow up with my primary care doctor for any future ENT problems.

Dr. Love is amazing. She did a MOHs defect closure on my lip and her work was incredible. Also, I was the most anxious patient I could imagine and she was so kind and understanding with me answering all of my questions patiently and offering a ton of comfort. The comments here about bad bedside manner truly confound me. My experience was that she had far and away better bedside manner than most doctors I've seen. I'm lucky that she was my doctor for this procedure.

She charges $100 a minute. A 15 minute appointment cost me $980, because on top of extortion they blackmail you into paying right away with a 30% discount. Shameful, disgusting, unjustifiable. PRIMUM NON NOCERE?

I went to see about getting my tonsils removed. She came walking in fast and seemed annoyed. I had put in my ‘reason for visit’ that I was there for a pre tonsillectomy appointment. She looked at that and asked me “So who’s doing your surgery then?” In an annoyed tone. I said I didn’t know, my doctor just told me to go to an appointment to schedule the surgery. She went on to ask me if I had document proof saying I have sleep apnea to which I replied I wasn’t told I needed any. (Not knowing my doctor already faxed it over in order to even get me that appointment). She spent the majority of the appointment talking to me like I’m stupid and convincing me that I’ll probably die from getting this surgery and it wasn’t going to help me anyway. Then said she “wasn’t talking me out of it, just telling me the risks”. Which is the rudest way I’ve ever heard a doctor tell me the risks. I told her I want to get it anyway. I’m going to see about having a different doctor do it. I don’t trust her.

Dr. Love and her assistant Debra are an amazing team!! They did everything they could to help me get as much done as possible since I was from out of town. They really have gone above and beyond. I feel like I'm in good hands with them. And after my visit I even got a much needed hug from Debra. Forgive me if I got your name wrong Debra. A lot was going on. ??

Kris Krause comment "she is direct" is quite an understatement - If direct and rude are the same thing, then yes she is direct - and rude. She ignores questions, talks when I am speaking and uses her professional technical jargon to answer questions - what a load of c--p. She may be cumlaude in school but that exists ONLY with regard to Scholastic standings. She is a horrible doctor with patients and should be working doing research or perhaps as a professor. Or perhaps as a surgeon with terminally ill people. Worst doctor I believe I have ever been to. She actually stormed out of the room and never came back! Her personal hygiene was also something to see - greasy hair pulled back looked like she had not washed it in days - and inappropriate dress for a doctor - knee high skin tight boots with high heels - yuck! You're batting zero Christus! Keep up the bad work!

Same as above - she is not a warm person however, on my second visit, I took control of my place and did not let her ignore my questions and keep talking (she is very adept at this) but I made her stop - told her to stop and answer my question. She then did - using her physician lingo to name the things I was inquiring about - again, I told her to "stop" and talk in my simple language as she should be well aware that I do not know her terminology - she did as I instructed. She does not listen - and she seems arrogant as such - but really, I do believe she is just not comfortable in her own skin. That said, I am not going back to her as when I questioned her she vascilated all over the place, stating there was no "one" answer - skirting the issue, and GIVING ME A REFERRAL TO PRESBYTERIAN GROUP! Amazing - but true - and her tech did not know how to take proper blood pressure and when I showed her she ignored me and was equally as cement headed as this doctor. Sorry folks.

Something's rotten in Santa Fe – Oct 01, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Love?
The moment Dr. Love walked in the door, it was awkward then it turned downright uncomfortable. You'd think with that gift of name for a Dr. it'd be a different story. It wasn't. She was impatient, abrupt, non personable, and talked so fast I wasn't able to get much in. She's seems a bit a freshman doc and in need of some serious social skill honing. I have delayed paying the bill.

She diagnosed me as having thrush two weeks before I was told I had 4th stage tongue cancer (by UNM hospital doctor) She spent the appointment time looking things up on her phone. She told me not to worry, I was okay. Well, shortly after I actually had half my tongue removed and chemo and radiation. If I had listened to her I would have most likely died. DO NOT EVER GO TO HER IF YOU CARE ABOUT GETTING CORRECT DIAGNOSIS AND BEING WELL TAKEN CARE OF. She is now at St. Vincents/was at ENT clinic.

Dr came in, no personal skills. Never introduced herself, rushed in n didn’t take time to hear symptoms. Then walked out leaving us unaware of what to happen next. Acted rude when asked to interpret medical terms. Very arrogant n rude. Wish Dr had more empathy n took a minute to show compassion.
