Dr. Liliane Lebas, MD

I’m a healthcare worker and I’ve never met a physician who lacks in compassion for her patients and their families during their darkest times. She was condescending and curt, just completely unprofessional. This job is not easy but if you’re burnt out, please quit. It’s a disservice to your patients to continue treating them when you can’t be bothered to show a little empathy and understanding.

I was under Dr Lebas' care for many years when she worked at a different facility. She saw me at my most fragile, my most unstable, and in my most weakened state with the onset of my mental health crisis. She was gentle and patient. She reminded me people could be kind. We started medications and when they weren't working or the side effects were too great we changed. She even noticed side effects from medication that alluded me, twice. She listened to my requests to try new medication which ultimately led to my stability. I have been stable nearly 15 years and Dr Lebas laid that foundation with kindness, professionalism, and expertise.

I had the most unpleasant experience with this woman. I cannot believe she is allowed to have contact with patients. She is rude, mean, and way too aggressive with her patients. I'm in the process of filing formal complaint over the treatment she gave me relative, that I witnessed.

I honestly blame myself for not heading the other one star reviews. Dr. Lebas is INCREDIBLY unprofessional. I actually felt unsafe at times. I went in for severe depression and felt dismissed constantly. I came for my second visit to hopefully be prescribed new antidepressants, and she told me I was wrong about my antidepressants not working (the ones I have been on for YEARS) and that if the didn't work, she would have prescribed me medicine our first visit. I leave 1 star cause I can’t leave 0. Worst experience of my life, left after 25 minutes crying. This person shows no compassion or that she cares at all, really rude, inappropriate and mean. She doesn’t listen. Not recommended, she just makes you feel worst.

I read some negative reviews about Dr. Lebas before I first met her. But I decided to make my own mind up and take a chance. That was two and a half years ago, and my opinion of her is this: she is the best psychiatrist I have ever had. She is straightforward and honest. She is kind and sympathetic. She is helpful and insightful. She listens carefully. I have had depression and bulimia for two decades. I recommend Dr Lebas to anybody with these same issues.

Ironically, Dr. LeBas works in healthcare, but shows almost no care or compassion for patients. Her manner is abrupt, if not rough, which is never good in her chosen specialty which involves working with the most vulnerable. In sum, save yourself now. Avoid this medical 'professional' at all costs. You'll be grateful you did.
