Wonderful doctor
Dr. Aguilar has been my daughter's doctor for several years now and we've followed her from Baptist to St. Vincent. She helped us save our daughter's life. I will be forever grateful for her support in a very dark time.

Over-medicated me and gaslight me
I saw this doctor virtually for about a year. At one point, she put me on a new ssri and maxed out my buspirone prescription, which caused symptoms of serotonin syndrome. I had to fight to get an emergency appointment, even though I waited over an hour for her to address an emergency before seeing me the week prior. She blamed the symptoms on an anxiety attack and put me on seroquel, which made me a zombie for a month before I found another provider who listened to me, confirmed that I had experienced serotonin syndrome, and put me on a medication that actually worked for me.

After seeing her for a few years I’m no longer on medication and have significant trust issues with doctors. I came to them hoping for some sense of sympathy due to my struggling mental health. After appointment after appointment and constantly paying I ended up being over billed for short appointments and being over medicated on medications I never needed. I’m talking 5 medications and maxed out on half of them. You’re rushed and spoked to in a very passive aggressive tone it’s crazy to dread getting help but I dreaded my appointments yet had no one to turn to. I respect that everyone is busy and may be struggling outside work but I don’t think it excused how poorly I was treated. I would recommend you find someone else. I could say that the office staff is attentive and got me in as soon as they could.

Properly medicated, treated terribly
I don't understand how she has 5 star reviews. She gave me effective medication, which I guess is the point, but I literally dread having to interact with this woman. She speaks in a very condescending manner to my mom - I can tolerate when she does it to me, but doing so to the parents who are just trying their best is frankly very sad. If you are going to work with minors with mental health issues, at least have some degree of sympathy.

She seems arrogant and insensitive.
I have to agree with some of the other ratings. She comes off as arrogant, insensitive, and unapproachable. My child was uncomfortable talking to her.

She doesn't have much affect - meaning she is very impersonal. Not at all warm or caring in her behavior. She does seem competent but wasn't interested in making progress in my son's treatment, just continuing along as he had been for years.

Terrible. Rude, not interested, not welcoming, does not act like she cares at all. Wasted our time. Bed side manner awful. It won't hurt you to crack a smile.

She always take the time to explain to me what is going on and what the options are, and I have already referred several people to here. She has worked wonders on my mental health. I am forever grateful.
