Terrible
Telehealth
I spent the last 7 months working with Dr Jarkon, and my experience was just terrible. She is uncaring and was always quite rushed during her sessions. I had to always remind her of what we talked about the last time even when she referred to her notes. She didn't spend enough time to understanding my concerns and would not consider my experience. Her lack of attentiveness led to a feeling of frustration, as I didn't feel fully heard or understood over a period of months. She argued when I expressed needed help. I believe her attitude is such because she feels secure in her position as the only psychiatrist at NYIT's medical center. I would strongly recommend looking for another doctor and for NYIT to improve their mental health services.

My wife went to this poor excuse for a psychiatrist for over 17 years. When money became tight during the pandemic, my wife had to seek care within our healthcare network. When my wife approached Dr Jarkon to tell her she couldn’t afford her care, Dr Jarkon argued with her. I believe her exact words were “well, your husband is still working, right?” She wouldn’t accept the fact my wife and I couldn’t afford her care anymore. Fast forward two years later, my wife became pregnant with our second child. We respected Dr Jarkon’s advice during our first pregnancy and wanted to see if she would take my wife back as a patient. We didn’t even get a call back. This woman is beyond vial. She doesn’t care about her patients, only thing that matters to her is the dollar. Thanks for not calling us back. Good riddance.
